STL – Setters of the Week

O'Shea has some guns to feed for the Dragons and she does a great job turning bad passes into hittable balls. Her second season leading the offense and I expect another stellar season for Payton.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='246924' first='Nina' last='Cillo'] – 2025 - Oakville</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A sweet backset, a quick first step, a great jump setter, and plays fantastic defense for the Tigers. With 36 assists in a 3-1 win over Fox, Oakville's offense is in great shape with Nina in charge.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kaitlyn Diani–O'Day -2025- Lutheran</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Cougars have two more years with Katelyn and she will leave as one of the best in program history. She is a very athletic setter, her volleyball IQ is off the charts, and is a very offensive setter. In a five-set loss to Mascoutah, IL she finished with 36 assists, three kills, and 11 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Katie LaMontagne – 2025 – Seckman</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Seckman started the year with a 1-3 loss to Class 2 defending state champions Jefferson. Katie dished out 33 assists in the loss to go along with three blocks, 12 digs, and three kills. She plays great defense and is quick to the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='221231' first='Elena' last='Ruble'] – 2026 – St. Pius X</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another Lancer on the list and well deserved because Ruble is one of the best in her class at her position.
