It's been a hot minute since we've had a commitment radar report for the kids out of Michigan.

The 2023s are off and well into their rookie seasons with their collegiate programs. Meanwhile, this summer saw the 2024s begin to dwindle in size of what was left of the uncommitted. For the 2025s, the floodgates have opened! Some of the top names in the junior class have been scooped up by some big time programs. I am sure there will be more major announcements from that class within the remainder of high school season.

Without further ado, let's catch you up on all the big commitments coming out of Michigan since we last updated!

6'2 OH - Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite

She's one of the top players in all of Division 3/4 volleyball over the course of her four years. [player_tooltip player_id='153663' first='Allison' last='Pilat'], once a dominant six rotation middle, is now one of the top pins in the 2024 class. Pilat has been the go-to weapon for Plymouth Christian since she first stepped onto the court, recently surpassing over 1,000 career kills. The whip of arm will now take her game to a promising Division II program with Cedarville University. Pilat will join current trend of Michigan Prep players to become Yellowjackets that include MB Sydney Low (Canton/Legacy) and fellow 2024 recruit OH [player_tooltip player_id='459254' first='Abby' last='Mainka'] (Brighton/L2).

5'11 OH - Dakota/Michigan Elite

[player_tooltip player_id='172209' first='Karley' last='Pretzer'] comes from an illustrious group of athletes to have come out of the Dakota cannon as of late. Pretzer joins fellow teammate [player_tooltip player_id='110328' first='Johanna' last='Tillman'] (Grand Valley) to the DII power conference that is the GLIAC. Davenport has been building something pretty serious in Grand Rapids. After an impressive 22-9 2022 season, a pick up like Pretzer is surely taking things further in the right direction. This outside hitter is springy and has a toolbox full of shots up her sleeve. She's having a really good 2023 that's seen her not only lead her Michigan Elite squad to a USA Nationals bid but also she's been averaging over 3.5 kills per set with Dakota this fall.

Otterbein is looking to capitalize off of an amazing 2022 season. With a 23-6 record and an appearance in the DIII NCAA tournament, the Cardinals are bringing in some serious firepower to build upon these wins. Likewise with Cedarville, Otterbein is another program out of Ohio looking to get some more talent from the north on the court. [player_tooltip player_id='172202' first='Kaitlyn' last='Schram'] joins recent Lakeland grad, MB Olivia Krill to the Cardinal squad. A potential duo that could bode well big time starting in 2024.

5'9 S - Northville/Michigan Elite

Arguably one of the biggest steals in the class of 2025, Illinois State grabbed a dandy with S [player_tooltip player_id='156293' first='Ella' last='Craggs']. One of the top prospects in the elite group of setters that the 2025 class had to offer, Craggs seemingly has the midas touch on the court. Upon immediate impact, Craggs started off her sophomore year leading Northville to a State Championship match in Division 1. Building upon that, Craggs paced the offense for what many considered one of the best 16s team in the nation with 16 Mizuno at Michigan Elite. The setter led the way to not only a top ten finish at USA Nationals but also a National Runner-Up finish at AAU Nationals in the 16 Open division.

The last time the Redbirds snagged a setter out of Michigan Elite, 2017 graduate Stef Jankiewicz. They would not only see themselves in multiple NCAA tournament appearances, but Jankiewicz would go down as all time great, ranking 3rd in All-Time Career Assists at Illinois State. Giving [player_tooltip player_id='156293' first='Ella' last='Craggs'] incredible company to join.

[player_tooltip player_id='156284' first='Gabriella' last='Babinski'] to Georgia Southern

6'1 OPP - South Lyon East/Michigan Elite

Alongside Craggs at Michigan Elite, [player_tooltip player_id='156284' first='Gabriella' last='Babinski'] was her right hand woman when it came to dishing out the butter. A move to the right side made a world of difference for Babinski during her 15s season and she hasn't looked back since. With a hammer of an arm and a stout block on the right pin, Babinski enters the chat right on time for this ambitious Georgia Southern squad. After a promising 2022 season, GSU is rocking a 10-1 non conference record going into Sun Belt play. With an athlete as versatile and strong as Babinski is, I wouldn't be surprised if we see much more of the Eagles in the coming years.
