Division 2 Early Season Standouts: 10 Athletes from 10 Schools

Most teams have a conference match or two under their belts and several tournaments. She already has over 200 kills and is a defensive leader on her team as well. Peyton is an athlete who is explosive yet consistent and rarely makes errors. She leads her team in digs, kills, and service receptions. Hailey is confident and consistent on the court and can play on either pin. Her high contact and massive vertical allow her to swing over and around most opposing blockers. She is a huge leader and was a key player in Xavier's state championship run last year. She has not slowed down, already contributing over 300 assists to the 2023 season. Mariah is smart, gritty, and consistent, a dangerous combination in a setter. She is so key for Sauk Prairie in the back row, from the service line, and as a leader. Ellery already has 22 aces, 240 digs, 126 service receptions, and 9 assists to start this season. She plays setter in club volleyball but is an offensive weapon for Kewaskum. She is very well-rounded in all of her skills and has contributed 108 kills, 24 aces, 126 digs, and 152 service receptions so far this season. She has soft hands, a high volleyball IQ, and great court vision. She can earn points as well off of savvy tips and smart plays. She knows how to find holes in opposing defenses and is aggressive on every swing. Dani recently helped her team sweep Wisconsin Lutheran, a huge conference rival. She is playing for Whitall as a six-rotation outside hitter and has shown the depth of her play. Her serves are lethal, and she has contributed numerous aces so far this season.
