Mariah led her team to their second straight state championship. She had 29 assists in Xavier’s state championship sweep. There were five athletes with five or more kills throughout the match, which is really impressive. Mariah keeps the ball moving quickly and efficiently. She has a ton of power as an athlete and uses it to push balls from pin to pin from nearly anywhere on the court.

Mariah is such an amazing athlete. In the state championship match alone, she had 2 kills, 29 assists, 2 aces, and 8 digs. Wow! Mariah perfectly balances being focused and competitive and enjoying the moment on the court. She runs such a clean offense, and everything she does is efficient. She has a huge role on this Xavier squad and will definitely be missed!

Potter runs the Xavier offense like a well oiled machine. She has no problem running a 5-1 and managing all the phases of the game like a pro. I love seeing put her middles in motion running a slide attack with ease. Potter is an incredibly talented athlete and teammate looking for a back-to-back D2 state title.

is a gritty setter who is such a gamer. She can make plays out of the toughest balls and just makes it work. She betters the ball so well and runs an efficient and clean offense. She has a soft touch on the ball and is a great defender as well. After winning a state championship last fall, she led a very talented FC Elite17-white team through an incredibly successful season.

Mariah exploded onto my radar at the WIAA State Championships last year and has not stopped impressing me since. She has an incredibly high volleyball IQ and sees the court so well. She is sneaky and smart with her tips and keeps opposing blockers on their toes. Mariah loves to set against the grain and put a fast tempo on her balls. She is gritty and very talented. Mariah was previously ranked 46th in this class and is now ranked 36th.

Mariah’s game play is competitive and aggressive. She knows what she needs to do to help her team win and executes on it consistently. Mariah is determined and relentless on the court and never lets up in her championship pursuit.
