Anoka (12-1)
While the Tornadoes aren’t top-10 ranked in Class 4A at the moment, this squad boasts the most talented roster in this tournament.
Logan Brent Logan Brent 5’8″ | OH Anoka | 2024 State MN has a strong season going with 145 kills, 168 service aces, and 120 digs this season.
Brent works the sidelines well when she delivers kills, and she hits them from angles that are tough for opposing teams to return.
Abigail Leaf Abigail Leaf 6’1″ | MB Anoka | 2024 State MN is a dominant force up front with 55 kills and 32 total blocks.
Leaf has good measurables with a 93-inch reach, a 113.5-inch block, and a 115.5-inch approach.
Highlights
Ally Tanner Ally Tanner 5’8″ | DS/L Anoka | 2024 State MN has an excellent serve amid 159 service aces, and she plays well on defense amid her 132 digs.
Tanner can also deliver on kills with high velocity.
Isabella Leaf Isabella Leaf 5’11” | MB Anoka | 2026 State MN has 41 kills, eight total blocks, and 22 digs this season.
Leaf has a good measurables with a 90.5-inch reach, a 106-inch block, and a 110.5-inch approach.
Highlights
Coon Rapids (2-10)
The Cardinals have taken lumps in the Northwest Suburban Conference thus far, but the team has a couple of intriguing prospects.
Vivian Peplow Vivian Peplow 5’6″ | S Coon Rapids | 2024 MN has good blocking technique and strong presence by the net.
She received Northwest Suburban All-Conference honors in 2022.
Red Wing (3-7)
The Wingers have a competitive squad out of the Big 9 Conference.
Taylor Shelstad Taylor Shelstad 5’9″ | S Red Wing | 2024 MN excels at setting up her team after digs.
The senior setter received Big 9 All-Conference honors in 2022.
Visitation (8-3)
The Blazers have one of the Tri-Metro Conference’s stronger teams and a couple of interesting prospects.
Ava Miller Ava Miller 5’9″ | OH Visitation | 2025 State MN has outstanding velocity on her kills, which makes it difficult for opposing defenses.
Miller plays scrappy when going for digs, and she will retrieve the ball in heavy traffic.
Ava Anderson Ava Anderson 6’1″ | MB Visitation | 2025 State MN hits effectively on fineness kill attempts, but she can deliver kills with power, too.
She received Tri-Metro All-Conference honors in 2022.
Park (8-3)
The host Wolfpack have a pair of prospects with impressive attack skills.
Carly Slusser Carly Slusser 6’2″ | MB Park | 2025 State MN can deliver kills from all over the court.
She had 19 kills in her last outing against Roseville.
Sonja Lind Sonja Lind 5’11” | MB Park | 2025 State MN has a good approach in delivering kills, and she gets good placement.
She posted seven kills against Roseville and eight kills versus Mounds View this week.
The Rest of the Field
Bloomington Kennedy (8-6)
Junior outside hitter Tasia Christopher is a solid attacker who earned Tri-Metro All-Conference honorable mention last year.
Faribault (2-10)
Falcons junior Josie Herda is returning Big 9 All-Conference outside hitter on a young squad.
Math & Science Academy (5-6)
The Dragons will test their mettle against bigger schools in Robbinsdale Cooper and Park.
Simley (8-5)
Avery Renslow is effective in the middle of her team’s side of the court The 6-foot-0 senior middle hitter receiver Metro East All-Conference honorable mention last year.
