Rams Have Multiple College-Level Prospects

The Pleasant Ridge Rams have a talented senior class. I scouted the Rams' home opening matches on September 12.   The Rams won those two matches against Maur Hill Prep and Atchison County.   Here is a look at four prospects who posted solid numbers in the two matches.   [player_tooltip player_id='261105' first='Emma' last='Murphy'], 5'0”, MH/OH, ‘24   Murphy (pictured above) has offers from NAIA and JUCO programs. She is a rangy hitter who can hit from the middle or the pin. She racked up six kills, eight digs, and two aces in the match against ACHS. She polished that off with a six-kill match against Maur Hill in which she also added three digs and one ace. She played six rotations for the Rams and she does have a dangerous serve.   Ava Potter, 6'0”,/OH, ‘24   Potter is looking for her first offer, but she can play NAIA or JUCO if she commits to the recruitment process. She finished with 10 kills and two aces against the Tigers and 10 kills and four aces versus the Ravens. She has a nice swing, gets up above the net, and does not hurt a team defensively.   Kelsi Ko, 5'3”,S, ‘24   Ko is a solid setter who has multiple hitting weapons at her disposal. She collected 18 assists in the win over Atchison County and another 15 against Maur Hill. She is another solid all-around player who filled up her stat sheet with three kills, six digs, and two aces on the night.   Bela Major, 5'10”, OH, ‘25   Major is a very athletic hitter who also plays basketball for the Rams. She was all over the court in both matches. She finished with 11 kills, seven digs, and 12 serve receptions combined in four sets played. She has two years of high school and club ball to decide which sport she has the best chance of playing collegiately.
