Outside hitters have spurred a surge of top-tier Kansas teams in every age group, but the 2028s have been particularly effective over the past few months. I had the chance to cover MAVS KC 16 Elite's 3-0 start at Triple Crown NIT, and Goode's versatility was a highlight of the opening-day effort. She has vast experience on both pins and can spearhead a well-formed block on either side. MAVS KC's up-tempo offense also suits Goode's instant, explosive burst off the floor. Aside from her knack for producing first-ball kills, Miller has also stepped up her pass-to-attack skills in the serve-receive pattern. She averaged over 0.300 last fall despite taking on a ton of volume and putting down over four kills per set. A busy slate awaits for Kaberline, who will take on MEQ, Lone Star, and Show Me in the span of four weeks.
