Rockwood Tournament Super Setters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A ton of talent in the field for the Rockwood Tournament. Here are some of the setters that I enjoyed watching play. One of the top setters in the nation, an up-and-coming setter, and three other rock solids. Every team had great setters but here's five that caught my eye.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Reese Messer – 5'11” – St. James Academy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Reese is a phenomenal setter and makes it look so easy. I've read and heard all about her and the hype is real. Makes bad passes look great, and they rarely have bad passes. Her distribution is varied to all her attackers and is silky smooth. Her hands are top notch and she is extremely aggressive offensively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='174406' first='Brytn' last='Lyon'] – 6'1” – St. Dominic</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brytn is one of the tallest on her team and puts up a big block, but her setting is another thing of beauty. I watched her set the outside from off the court perfectly. That's how she plays the game. Whether it's on defense or running the offense she is on full motor, and I loved watching her play. My perspective Nixa wouldn't be the team they are without Jacy. I think she did a great job in the tournament. She is a savvy setter with a flair of grit to her game. You can tell she's a fierce competitor and will guide this program for the next three years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":457105,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2023/09/Izzi-Sohl-Rock-Bridge-Setter-crop-2278x1496-1694455554.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-457105" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='493000' first='Hannah' last='Gardner'] – 6'0” – Kickapoo</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kickapoo runs a 6-2 and rightfully so because Hannah is a big blocking lefty opposite that can crush it and puts up a big block to get around. I would like to see her running a 5-1 to see how much she would do offensively in that position. A great setter and hitter for the Chiefs</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
