<p>Wilson wowed me in early matches this season at Holton. She will be playing against tough teams in this Pool, so I am interested in seeing if she steps her game up. Holton opens Pool A play against Wamego at 8:00 a.m.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='495624' first='Hannah' last='Schmitz']</strong>, 6'0” MH, Hayden, ‘24</p>

<p>Schmitz is a long middle hitter who can block. I have yet to see her or her Hayden teammates this season. The Wildcats open pool play against Osage City at 8:00 a.m.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='495650' first='Kasia' last='Baldock']</strong>, 5'8”, S, Tonganoxie, ‘24</p>

<p>I have yet to see the Chieftains play in 2023, but I will get a couple of chances to scout them over the next two weeks. Baldock had 770 assists last season for Tonganoxie and is closing in on 2,000 assists for her career. The Chieftains are competing in Pool B and open play with an 8:00 a.m. match against Silver Lake.</p>

<p>Bolan is a phenomenal athlete who I wish I could scout every week. She plays six rotations and will more than likely post some eye-popping numbers on such a busy day. The Eagles will be one of the favorites to win the tournament and start their day with an 8:00 a.m. match against Tonganoxie.</p>

<p>Powell is a talented hitter whom I have seen play club ball, but I have not seen her play with Abilene. Abilene will be competing in Pool B and their first match is against Hayden scheduled in the 9:00 am slot.</p>
