The wealth and depth of talent in this report is starting to make my hair stand up. Wilson is one of the best defensive hitters in Kansas. She recorded totals of 385 kills and 471 digs last fall for the Wildcats. She is ranked No. 13 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She is the glue on a Holton squad that finished as the Class 3A State Runners-Up last fall, and will be a favorite in Class 3A to win it all in 2026. Wilson, in three seasons, has already passed the 1,000-career benchmark in kills and digs.

Wilson finished second in kills for the Wildcats this season. Holton had four athletes with 200-plus kills and qualified for the Class 3A State Tournament. Wilson racked up 385 kills in a career-high 114 sets played. She has a total of 1,086 kills heading into her senior season. I would not be surprised if she made a run at 1,500 career kills. Wilson recorded 420 digs and has 1,097 digs over three seasons. She is ranked No. 9 overall, and is cuurently the highest-ranked athlete yet to commit to a college program.

Another team I hope to catch in Rossville is the Holton Wildcats. I saw Wilson and her teammates compete this summer and saw her at a couple of elite college camps. She is an impressive hitter and a gifted six-rotation talent. Wilson leads the team in kills with 27 in eight sets worth of reported stats. She is ranked No. 9 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027 and is one of my favorite uncommitted hitters in the 2027 class. It should be a highly competitive tournament with Silver Lake, Wamego, and Jefferson West also competing against Ottawa, Osage City, and the host Bulldawgs. I have not seen Osage City yet this season and would like to see them and Rossville. With any luck, I hope to see all four of the teams I have yet to scout, but it’s more than likely it might just be two of the four.

I saw Wilson at multiple events this summer, but I almost always catch at least one Holton Wildcat match each season. Holton is a short drive, and I love a pregame meal at Boomers Steakhouse & Grill. Wilson is ranked No. two overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She is an elite six-rotation prospect who is just enjoyable to watch play.

I have seen Wilson a ton this summer, and her game is peaking at the right time for Club North . This team has several elite hitting options, but look for the Holton prospect to carry much of the load during the matches in Dallas. Wilson is ranked No. 2 overall by Prep Dig Kansas in Class of 2027.

Wilson and her Wildcat teammates are scheduled to compete in the tournament. Holton opens competition against the host Vikings at 8:30 am in the first match scheduled on Court 1. I plan on watching Wilson and Holton play against Jeff West at 9:15 if everything stays on schedule. Wilson can jump out of the gym and, along with her teammates, will have a State Tournament or Bust attitude this fall. Wilson is ranked No. 2 in the Kansas Class of 2027.
