Here’s a look at some players that stood out in the match:
A Top 10 player in Prep Dig’s ’25 Iowa rankings, Passmore is one of the state’s best performers regardless of class. The junior cranked out 22 kills in this match, hitting .514. She added 3.0 blocks and seven digs. Passmore is an explosive athletic with a powerful swing. She’s technically sound with a high volleyball IQ. D-1 schools need to move.
Kaitlin Loria
Kaitlin Loria
Loria is improving as the season advances, not uncommon for a freshman already in the rotation at a 5A program. She’s still just scratching the surface of what appears to be a player with high upside. She swings with more power than most ninth-graders and looks athletic. She recorded five kills and 2.0 blocks in this match, according to Your Prep Sports.
Karsyn Michael
Karsyn Michael
Michael dished out a match-high 36 assists. She displayed her well-rounded skill set at the position with seven digs, a kill and a block. Her stats were made more impressive when considering she’s not always in for all six rotations. You can see the high-end potential that can be achieved with more consistency.
Kucera moved into the starting libero spot after the second competition of the season. She’s settling in and finding more consistency as time passes. Her development could be one of the keys to the Little Hawks coming together. The sophomore is technically sound and delivers precise passes when in position.
Kira Klesner

Klesner flashes a well-rounded skill set that makes her a valuable player for her team. In this match, the junior contributed 15 assists, five kills and two digs. She features a strong swing and a soft touch when setting up teammates.
McCommas continued to show off her six-rotations skill set in this match. Your Prep Sports showed her with 10 kills and a block. She was among her team’s leaders in digs (not posted in Bound at time of publishing). The junior swings with power and also defends the net well. She does the same in the back row and could probably set if asked to do so.

The senior ranks second on the team in blocks (37.0) and digs (87), and third in kills (53). She chipped in 12 digs, six kills and a block during this match.
