This volleyball train keeps on rolling, and there are a number of squads that have a combination of older leadership and talent combined with younger athletes that get the job done. Here are five teams we like this week, their records, and two players that show off the duality of youth and experience.

The Satellites are mowing down their competition without a blemish to show for it. I'm especially impressed with sophomore outside [player_tooltip player_id='557011' first='Samantha' last='Marks'] ('26, 5-8 OH) and her sister Sadie Marks ('24, 5-10 M). Samantha has that pass-to-attack movement perfected, while Sadie brings size to an already undersized unit.

#4: Northeastern (10-1)

Speaking of youth and size, the Knights boast both, even more so than the Satellites. Big and athletic, Addisen Mastriano ('24, 6-3 MB) might be a basketball kid, but uses her smarts on that court and brings it to the volleyball arena. I like her ability to make attackers change their attacks because of her presence. Setter Olivia Null ('26, 5-7 S) is a young and athletic setter that regularly makes a mediocre pass better for her hitters, and she always has great footwork to get her to the ball.

#3: Lafayette Central Catholic (13-3)

It was only a matter of time before these Knights would appear on our top five list. Winners of twelve in a row, a ton of experience, young and old, dot this roster. Cece Swisher ('24, 6-0 MB) is a great middle to have that can transition well when needed. [player_tooltip player_id='557018' first='Carley' last='Barrett'] ('25, 5-7 OH) is an experienced, primary-passing outside that has ball control for days and finds ways to score points regularly.

#2: Linton-Stockton (16-4)

I saw this squad during summer league at Circle City, and was hoping that they'd make a return trip to a deep playoff run. So far, so good for the Miners. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='365266' first='Audrey' last='Warrick'] ('24, 6-1 S) recently eclipsed 1000 career assists and has leadership written all over her. Maelee Pilant ('25, 5-2 DS/L) is a three-sport stud that wears the libero jersey well and gets to a ton of balls that other defenders just can't get to.

#1: Burris (18-1)

The Owls continue to own all of 2A in Indiana, just like the old days. There are so many Munciana kids on this roster, it's hard to name all of the kids that have that level of training and volleyball acuity. The Owls' outside hitters are a pair of athletic spitfires that can terminate from anywhere, regardless of their size. [player_tooltip player_id='386146' first='Aubrey' last='Miller'] ('24, 5-6 OH) and [player_tooltip player_id='498440' first='Mya' last='Trammell'] ('26, 5-5 OH) continue to produce points night-in and night-out when things get out of system.
