Nova Classical Academy junior outside hitter Ava Ball Ava Ball 6’0″ | OH Nova Classical Academy | 2025 State MN delivered a 21-kill performance in a 3-0 sweep over St. Croix Prep. The South Dakota commit also had 17 digs.
Ball has height on her side at 6-foot-0 as the No. 2-ranked outside hitter in the state and sixth overall-rated player in Minnesota.
Her athleticism makes her a challenge for any opponent. She has a 90-inch reach, a 103-inch block jump, and a 118-inch approach jump.
Holy Family junior Sonja Laaksonen Sonja Laaksonen 6’0″ | OH Holy Family | 2025 State MN stepped up with 17 kills and 14 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Dassel-Cokato. The Fire utilize Laaksonen, a Western Kentucky commit, at both outside and middle hitter. Laaksonen did well on serves with five service aces, and she tallied 25 service receptions on the other end.
At 6-foot-0, Laaaksonen ranks No. 9 among all Minnesota outside hitters and No. 34 overall in the state.
She has a strong delivery on the attack, which limits an opponent’s time to react.
Burnsville junior outside hitter Mesaiya Bettis Mesaiya Bettis 6’0″ | OH Burnsville | 2025 State #28 Nation MN was a bright spot for the Blaze in a 3-0 loss to Prior Lake. Bettis delivered 14 kills and 17 digs in the defeat.
An Iowa State commit, Bettis ranks No. 1 among Minnesota outside hitters and No. 1 overall in the state.
She has strong measurables with a 92-inch reach, a 106-inch block jump, and a 122-inch approach jump.

Rochester Mayo’s Jadyn Lester Jadyn Lester 5’10” | S Rochester Mayo | 2024 State MN impressed with a 17 kills, 19 set assists, and 12 digs against Mankato West. Lester’s efforts helped the Spartans sweep the Scarlets 25-16, 25-12, 25-19.
A Minnesota State-Mankato commit, Lester has strong measurables. He has an 89-inch reach, a 102-inch block jump, and a 114-inch approach jump.

Caledonia’s Logan Koepke Logan Koepke 6’0″ | OH Caledonia | 2024 State MN stepped up with 17 kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 sweep over Wasbasha-Kellogg. Koepke helped the Warriors improve to 11-0 for the season.
Koepke showed good placement and timing on her kill attempts against Wabasha-Kellogg.
Peqout Lakes’ Ella Kratochvil Ella Kratochvil 5’10” | OH Pequot Lakes | 2024 State MN tallied 22 kills and 15 digs amid in a loss to Albany. The Patriots, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, fell 25-21, 26-24, 16-25, 14-25, 14-16 to the Huskies.
A 5-foot-10 outside hitter, Kratochvil ranks No. 27 among all outside hitters in Minnesota.
