Ball has been a solid six rotation player for a while now and a lot of that comes from being a go-to on both her club and high school teams. She has a cannon for an arm and she is super smooth in her pass to attack. Ball can hits a number of great shots and will be an extremely effective attacker for South Dakota.

Ball has height on her side at 6-foot-0 as the No. 2-ranked outside hitter in the state and sixth overall-rated player in Minnesota.
Her athleticism makes her a challenge for any opponent. She has a 90-inch reach, a 103-inch block jump, and a 118-inch approach jump.

Ball isn’t necessarily coming from a small town since Nova Classical Academy is based out of St. Paul. But the enrollment is only 276 putting them in the small school category. Ball was named to the All Region 2nd Team and the Class AA All-State Team in 2022. She played for Northern Lights 16-1 this season and was named to the JVA Watchlist. Ball’s earned USAV GJNC 16 Open All American honors in July and shortly after committed to play for Division 1 South Dakota.

She recently made her commitment to South Dakota which I LOVE because she will be playing for the AMAZING Coach Williamson who was a former college teammate of mine. This commitment is coming shortly after being named a USAV GJNC 16 Open All American. The future is bright for Ball.

Ava is a huge energizer. She is crazy talented as a pin hitter and loves to pound balls. Ava seems to have a ‘go big or go home’ mentality on the court. She can be relied upon to manufacture points and execute in any situation. She is a player to watch and is a key piece of this Northern Lights squad.
