Herrick is right back to churning out wins with her Olympia team. Knee surgery was just a temporary bump in the road for the senior stand-out, and her command of the court allows the impressive Olympia attackers to swing away. She leads the squad in aces and is scoring enough as a front-row setter to keep defenses honest. Herrick has excellent footwork that allows her to get to the pass and fire confident sets to either pin. It’s a credit to her hard work and outstanding training to come back with a big splash after time off due to the injury.

Oakesdale’s senior setter has had to split time at the position in prior seasons, but Holling has always been a solid contributor to the team’s dominance of the state over the last few seasons. This season, the 5’5 spark plug is dishing out 10 assists per set, one of the top marks in the state. The Nighthawks are 8-0 to start the season, and have a chance to show off against the larger schools this weekend at the Sheridan-Welch Crossover Classic Tournament is Spokane. Holling’s steady setter play and tough serving need to be on point for the team to make another deep run.
Brester is the floor general for Liberty, and the Patriots have charged to an 8-0 start on the season. She knows how to fire up her squad, and has been filling up the stat sheet while she does it. Brester holds a perfect sheet on serves this year, without a single service error to mar her perfect percentage. She has been an attacker before, and although she is the single setter for the team this season she is still contributing kills regularly. Liberty will face off against Lake Washington next week in league play, expect that to be a pitched battle for supremacy of the 3A KingCo.
