This latest update focused on giving a boost to existing players on our list. We had plenty of athletes in mind, making this a good opportunity to release a new version. We’ve also reformatted some of the information contained within the rankings, so give those a look, too.
For now, here are a few of our senior stock risers from the new 2024 rankings.
Lionberger is the kind of middle blocker who can energize an entire team. The LPS Invite was surely a testament to that positive influence. This Navy-bound attack is incredibly difficult to defend, as she can run routes across the entire net in any of her frontcourt rotations. Lionberger’s efficiency will be one of many catalysts to Lincoln Southwest’s 2023 success.
We just detailed Ervin’s impact in our post-Harvest Festival Invite features. To summarize our earlier points, Ervin is an athlete who can adapt to just about any role imaginable. She can hit on either pin, pilot the offense as a setter, and play spectacular floor defense from the back row. All of that utility will pay dividends when Ervin represents Southern Utah at the D1 level.
Pribyl has no problem being the leading scorer for her squad. The Millard West senior has undoubtedly shouldered that responsibility and can go off for five kills per set in any given match. So, even after a group of fabulous seniors departed from last year’s Wildcat squad, Pribyl has helped ensure that Millard West remains in the ultra-competitive Class A race.
Topolski is making moves in her final prep campaign with Lincoln East. She has become one of Class A’s most formidable attackers, giving the Spartans a group of pins that few teams can match. Topolski’s escalating efficiency numbers have helped show us that East’s historic 2022 season was no fluke–rather, they’re just getting better and better.

Few 2024s have risen up the leaderboards like Groves. She made a big leap to 18s competition this spring and looked poised and confident throughout. That eventually led to her commitment to Morningside, but Groves hasn’t slowed down since locking in her future plans. She’s been a major contributor to Papio South’s lockdown defense and could help the Titans hoist another trophy this November.

Rink was lighting up opposing defenses at the LPS Invite, so she appears ready to do the same at the D1 level. The Lincoln Southwest star is bound for Northern Colorado next fall, but Rink also has unfinished business with the Silver Hawks. Her quick arm at the opposite position will be featured often as LSW marches back to postseason.
Vanosdall became one of Nebraska’s latest 2024 commits after she pledged to MidAmerica Nazarene. This savvy setter has the distinction of already gaining experience at the 18s level while playing up at Premier Nebraska. On the prep side, Vanosdall has done a little bit of everything for Platteview High and will be yet another college athlete to come out of that small-town program.
Boyd, who recently announced her commitment to Morningside, is standing out this fall while also donning new colors for her final prep season. The veteran defender is representing Lincoln Southwest in 2023 and has immediately bolstered the team’s passing and defense. That’s the value Boyd has brought wherever she’s been, and that ought to translate to the next level, too.
Hansen rockets up our 2024 list upon being one of the most consistently productive liberos in the senior class. Her rise with Grand Island Senior High has been a multi-year ascent, and Hansen is playing some of her best volleyball this fall. It was easy to spot her superior command of the Islander backcourt during last weekend’s LPS Invite, making her an easy choice for a rankings boost.

Fotoplos is having her moment in the spotlight this year. She’s racking up some big numbers as the unquestioned leader for Gretna’s setter position. We knew that Fotoplos could command an offense on the club side, but her performances against Class A powerhouses have been on another level. That’s a quick way to boost your stock.
