Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
We’ve documented Ervin’s do-it-all attitude throughout her storied Ogallala career. She sets, hits, and is exceptional at both of those skills and a lot more. The Southern Utah commit could fill any niche at the next level, but we’re enjoying Ervin’s time on the prep stage for now. Ogallala will surely remember her impact for a while.

We just detailed Ervin’s impact in our post-Harvest Festival Invite features. To summarize our earlier points, Ervin is an athlete who can adapt to just about any role imaginable. She can hit on either pin, pilot the offense as a setter, and play spectacular floor defense from the back row. All of that utility will pay dividends when Ervin represents Southern Utah at the D1 level.

Ervin was one of the most high-profile participants at last week’s tournament. The Southern Utah commit is an outstanding dual threat who finds every way possible to influence Ogallala’s efforts. When she’s not denting the floor as a frontcourt hitter, Ervin runs the offense in the backcourt and has a great feel for tempo and location. She does it all, and the Indians took full advantage of that range in Gothenburg.

Ervin is another one of these “utility players” who can make her impact in a variety of ways. As an attacker, the Ogallala athlete soared to a 0.327 hitting clip last year. But Ervin also has an extensive background as a setter and can distribute one of the smoothest offenses in the C1 ranks.

While we’re on the topic of versatility on 17 Black’s roster, Ervin is another athlete who can do just about anything on a volleyball court. The Ogallala native has been a standout at setter in addition to taking huge swings on either pin. Once again, Ervin is tabbed as one of Nebraska’s best small-town performers after a great outing as an attacker at the Presidents’ Day Classic.
