The Lancers are the top team and head to Ozark this weekend for a huge challenge. Mia Moser will be all over the court to keep Lafayette on the right path for a Class 5 repeat.
2. Kickapoo Chiefs 28-4
A win over Liberty North this past weekend pushed Kickapoo into the 2nd spot in this week’s rankings. The team finished with 84 digs in that match and Kya Johnson Kya Johnson DS/L Kickapoo | 2024 State MO had 23 of them. Kickapoo has a heck of a district to get through as Nixa and Ozark stand in the way of the Chiefs.
3. Ozark Tigers 23-3
Three losses on the season to Kickapoo, Liberty North, and Southside, AR, and have a win over district rival Nixa. 2026 Tara Venable Tara Venable 5'11" | OH Ozark | 2026 State MO and 2024 Reagan Baade Reagan Baade 5'8" | OH Ozark | 2024 State MO had 39 kills in the loss to Liberty North.
4. Nixa Eagles 24-3
The only team in Missouri to beat Nixa has been Ozark 0-3. In the loss Ava Owens had 8 kills and Chloe Judd Chloe Judd 6'1" | MB Nixa | 2025 State MO had six blocks. Must get past Ozark and Kickapoo if they want to make a trip into the state playoffs.
5. Liberty North Eagles 20-6
Over the weekend the Eagles lost to Kickapoo 1-3 and then knocked off Ozark 3-1 to move back into the top half of the rankings. They then beat Lee’s Summit West 3-1 where top 2024 Carlie Cisneros Carlie Cisneros 6'0" | OH Liberty North | 2024 State #7 Nation MO had 19 kills and 11 digs.
6. Lee’s Summit West Titans 20-9
One of the top teams in the Kansas City area has suffered losses to both Liberty and Liberty North. In the 2-3 loss to Liberty 2027, Tori Massengill Tori Massengill 6'0" | OH Lees Summit West | 2027 MO finished with 13 kills.
7. Eureka Wildcats 20-7
Five of the team’s losses came the weekend of the Rockwood Tournament but since have gone 13-2. Wins over Marquette and Cor Jesu give Rylie Cepicky Rylie Cepicky 6'0" | OH Eureka | 2024 State MO a push her team up in the rankings.
8. Cor Jesu Chargers 18-6
The Chargers have wins over Jackson and Marquette and are 13-1 since the Rockwood Tournament. I never count out the Chargers with Grace Killion Grace Killion 5'11" | OH Cor Jesu | 2024 State MO one of the top 2024 outside hitters in Missouri bombing away on the outside.
9. Marquette Mustangs 26-5
Marquette is my surprise team of the year. I knew they would be good but have exceeded my expectations. They have wins over Kickapoo, Lee’s Summit West, and Liberty North at the Rockwood Tournament. They’ve lost to Cor Jesu 2-3 Lafayette 0-3 and Eureka 0-3. Ella Keeven Ella Keeven 5'8" | S Marquette | 2025 State MO is having a great year attacking and running a 6-2.
10. Liberty Blue Jays 12-6
It’s hard not to include Liberty in the rankings. They have one of the top 2025 players in Abigail Mullen Abigail Mullen 6'3" | RS Liberty | 2025 State #3 Nation MO and took Liberty North to a 14-16 5-set loss. We’ll see how they stack up at the Ozark Grand Slam.
