Gaines has been a steady force for Roger Bacon and her OPVC teams over the past couple of years. This season is no different. The 5’10 outside hitter has earned over 250 kills this season and is third in the
MVC
offensively as she helped lead the Spartans to a
MVC
-Scarlet title with an 11-1 league record. Over her three varsity seasons she has a 3.0 k/s average with her best numbers this season. Roger Bacon made a deep postseason run to the regional finals last year and the Toledo commit is poised to lead them to a similar effort in the coming weeks.

– Badin | Commitment: Northern Kentucky
Badin had a great season in 2022, finishing in the DII semifinal round of the final weekend. The 6’0 Heid was a big factor at the pins. She came back this season more polished and aggressive with a lot more opportunities offensively following the graduation of some key parts of their offense. She has not disappointed. The GCL’s offensive leader is producing her best numbers of her career at 4.2 k/s with much more effective results that includes a .302 efficiency and 46% kill rate. She will be headed to the Horizon League’s Northern Kentucky University. Badin recently defeated Oakwood to advance in the sectional phase.
Emma Parks – Meadville Area (PA) | Commitment: Marquette
Playing her club ball with AVC, Parks is a force at the net. The 6’2 outside hitter has length and athleticism that create big advantages for her when attacking at the net. She can create big lift and when at contact at the peak of her jump she can bring a lot of power and pace. With nearly 500 kills this season along for her high school team in Pennsylvania, she is terminating 5.4 k/s at a .370 efficiency. She will head to the Big East and Marquette University, one of the league’s most successful and consistent programs in recent years.

– Williamsville East (NY) | Commitment: Tennessee
The 5’6 libero is another DS/Libero prospect coming out of AVC in recent years and landing at a big-time program. She has big skills in the first-touch part of the game as she moves well in serve receive to get herself on balance and with great angles. Defensively, she is quick and combines that ability to read and react efficiently that helps create a lot of transition opportunities for her team. She will take her talents to Tennessee, one of the current top teams in the SEC and currently ranked top-15 among NCAA Division I programs.
