We have a lot of ground to cover for our weekly edition of On Fire. We'll highlight some milestones captured recently along with other outstanding performances.

St. James Academy

We will start with a team in our On Fire highlight. They collected a couple of wins in the state last week. They then traveled to Texas to compete in a high school showcase featured on ESPN. They were able to collect a win in four sets over Cornerstone. St. James is the winner of sixteen straight. They are On Fire!

[player_tooltip player_id='119704' first='Cy' last='Rae Campbell'] - Heritage Christian

HCA over the last couple of seasons has been one of our favorite stories. Yes, they are a small class school but feature many club players who play at a high level. They should again run through the postseason, but you still have to perform at the end of the day. And Campbell has performed as she earned her 1,000th kill last week.

[player_tooltip player_id='150066' first='Sara' last='Allmon'] - Olathe South

South is 12-12 this season and they don't update their stats on MaxPreps. We know Allmon is a baller from following her in the club season. Today, we are shouting her out for something away from the court. She was recently named the 2023 Olathe South homecoming queen! That's Fire!

[player_tooltip player_id='219716' first='Kendal' last='Brueggen'] - Hesston

We talked about Brueggen earlier this season with a big start to the season. I'll always remember her from the Prep 250 Showcase as the player who was killing it but didn't have a bib number to identify her. She's easy to identify now as she stayed on fire but got her 1,000 career kill at the Council Grove tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='493074' first='Reagan' last='Howe'] - Oak Ridge

Oak Ridge had a solid performance from the junior Howe last week with a string of matches that saw her have 12, 16, and 16 kills. The final match saw a stat line of 16 of 20 for an eye-popping .750 hitting percentage. She was in a zone.

[player_tooltip player_id='221012' first='Rylee' last='Adams'] - Odessa

We have a new career-kills record holder in Odessa. [player_tooltip player_id='221012' first='Rylee' last='Adams'] captured her 542nd kill to make history.

[player_tooltip player_id='153933' first='Jordan' last='Smith'] - Francis Howell Central

The 19-year-old record went down as [player_tooltip player_id='153933' first='Jordan' last='Smith'] became the new kills queen at Francis Howell Central. She will chase 1,0000 in the coming weeks but the new record now sits at 950.

[player_tooltip player_id='124225' first='Sammi' last='Bergjans'] - IWA

Bergjans broke a record of her own recently that will be discussed in our milestones feature. Today, I'm highlighting her 35 assists performance in a three-set win last week. The tally is close to a 12-assists per set average.
