We made it to the last week of the regular season! Why not celebrate the kids that have made their decisions to find a new home after their high school careers are over? Here are our top five, including records and players that have committed to their respective schools.

Records are accurate through the matches on 10/2.

#5: Yorktown (21-5)

Lurking in the shadows, the Tigers are more than happy to play the underdog card going into the postseason. Their schedule shouldn't really get difficult until the regional, which won't happen until October 21. That being said, [player_tooltip player_id='152944' first='Charlotte' last='Vinson'] ('25, 6-1 OH, Indiana commit) is the majority of the offense for the Tigers, and is more than willing to carry her squad to another shot at a state title. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='155213' first='Addi' last='Applegate'] ('25, 5-6 DS/L, Texas A&M commit) is a person you cannot afford to serve to if you want to beat Yorktown. At Libero High School, Addi is yet another playing Power 5 volleyball at the next level.

#4: Roncalli (23-3)

The Royals are another squad that won't have a tough match on their schedule until they reach the regional. [player_tooltip player_id='152943' first='Logan' last='Bell'] ('25, 5-10 OH, Oregon commit) is bringing the disciplines of both the indoor and the outdoor game to her overall skill set, and leads the Royals both physically and emotionally. [player_tooltip player_id='171362' first='Aly' last='Kirkhoff'] ('24, 5-6 DS/L, LSU commit) is yet another in a long line of DS's at Roncalli playing Power 5 volleyball at the next level.

#3: Castle (26-3)

The recent loss to Terre Haute South (23-7, 4A #21 according to indianaprepvolleyball.com) was shocking to this author, as I've seen THS in action when they were dispatched by a young and tough Center Grove squad. Maybe the Knights needed that loss to give them a reality check about their postseason. Their match at 3A #23 Evansville Mater Dei is a tough match waiting for them tonight, and should help them right the ship before going for a 'ship. [player_tooltip player_id='236667' first='Katie' last='Kopshever'] ('24, 5-11 OH, Eastern Illinois commit) leads the way offensively, which setter [player_tooltip player_id='458189' first='Maya' last='Joska'] ('25, 6-0 S, Virginia Tech commit) runs an efficient offense for the Knights.

#2: Cathedral (23-4)

Yes, I realize that the Fighting Irish lost to Roncalli twice this fall. That being said, they've got ZERO upset losses on their schedule, as the other two are to Kentucky's Assumption and Hamilton Southeastern. Winners of nine in a row, Cathedral should meet North Central (4A #11, 26-5) in the sectional final, which should be a fun watch on Saturday, October 14. Look for seniors [player_tooltip player_id='110490' first='Taylor' last='Lewis'] ('24, 6-1 OH, Villanova commit) and [player_tooltip player_id='110377' first='Kamryn' last='Utley'] ('24, 5-8 S, Lehigh commit) to carry the squad to yet another regional appearance.

#1: Hamilton Southeastern (26-0)

What more do we need to say? The Royals have dropped exactly two sets all season, are #1 nationally in multiple publications and have seemingly endless talent. The offense goes through [player_tooltip player_id='110501' first='Lauren' last='Harden'] ('24, 6-3 OH, Florida commit), who recently set the program record for kills. Here are the rest of the committed at HSE in no particular order: [player_tooltip player_id='153107' first='Lindsey' last='Mangelson'] ('25, 6-2 OH, Mississippi State commit), [player_tooltip player_id='153104' first='Breonna' last='Goss'] ('24, 6-0 MB, Duke commit), [player_tooltip player_id='112085' first='Tiffany' last='Snook'] ('24, 6-2 MB, Memphis commit), [player_tooltip player_id='110509' first='Macy' last='Hinshaw'] ('24, 5-9 S, Santa Clara commit), [player_tooltip player_id='172759' first='Ava' last='Hunter'] ('25, 5-9 S, Loyola Chicago commit), [player_tooltip player_id='112086' first='Sophie' last='Ledbetter'] ('24, 5-8 DS/L, Ball State commit), [player_tooltip player_id='153105' first='Kaylyn' last='Christy'] ('25, 5-9 DS, Palm Beach Atlantic commit), and [player_tooltip player_id='118356' first='Madison' last='Schicker'] ('24, 5-6 DS, Hanover commit). Whew. Am I missing anyone? You can't fault me if I am, and I wouldn't be surprised if I did.
