Saturday marked the end of the 2023 season and man, did it go out with a BANG!

In the Division II race, there was no question here. It was all North Branch and nobody else. In one of the most dominating performances in all of the finals, North Branch returned home with their first ever repeat title in school history. This senior class becomes the first to go back-to-back championships and join the 2017 class as the only ones to win two titles during their tenure.

This FInal Four was painted Blue and White with Bronco pride. With the second straight state title, Sophomore Supreme, [player_tooltip player_id='226888' first='Aubree' last='Deshetsky'], led all as the DII Dream Team's MVP.

Let's take a look at who else made the list.

Pin Attackers

The Division II Final Four showcased some of the big names of tomorrow. Particularly on the pins, some of the most promising talent had themselves a performance in Kellogg Arena. Kicking off with the tournament MVP, [player_tooltip player_id='226888' first='Aubree' last='Deshetsky'] has used this title run to solidify herself as one of the top prospects in the 2026 class. With a pair of double-double performances in the semis and finals, Deshetsky seemingly had her hands in every single play. The sophomore supreme logged over 25 kills and 30 digs in the pair of weekend sweeps.

Opposite of Deshetsky in the semifinal is the player that will be bringing Grand Rapids Christian back to the forefront of the volleyball space. [player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke'], as only a freshman, was having her way with the Broncos on Thursday. While GRC would be swept out of Kellogg, Goodyke's star was shining as bright as ever on the big stage. Averaging over 5 kills per set and hitting over .300, the Eagles could not get the ball to Goodyke enough in the semis. I suspect we see these two underclassman have great battles for years to come in Kellogg Arena.

Rounding out the pins for this Dream Team, we have one of the best opposites to ever come through the North Branch gym. High flying, sharp shots and the ability to take over a match, [player_tooltip player_id='222361' first='Clara' last='Gyomory'] (Northwood) went out with a bang this weekend. In the Final Four, Gyomory led the Broncos in kills hitting over .600 in the match. Overall on the weekend, Gyomory knocked down 21 kills hitting .419.

Middle Blockers

In the middle, we have a pair of middles who can do quite the damage. For Grand Rapids West Catholic, Brooke Tietz was giving it all she got to advance to the 'ship. In the opening match versus Milan, Tietz led the way across the stat sheet in kills, aces and blocks. She would follow up on Saturday doing the same thing. This championship appearance would conclude Tietz' career with the Falcons. In her final weekend, Tietz brought in 17 kills, 4 aces and 4 blocks.

On the other side of the net, we saw our next dream team middle, [player_tooltip player_id='110287' first='Kaela' last='Chingwa']. After an undisclosed absence throughout the first half of the season, Chingwa's return has been quite the treat for the Broncos. Chingwa was a formidable force at the net throughout the weekend. The 6'3 blocker punched in 11 kills and 5 blocks in the pair of sweeps.

Setters and the 'Bros

[player_tooltip player_id='110302' first='Adrienne' last='Greschaw'] & [player_tooltip player_id='110301' first='Hailey' last='Green']

Rounding out the Division II Dream Team, it is without question belonging to the 1-2 punch for the North Branch Broncos.

[player_tooltip player_id='110302' first='Adrienne' last='Greschaw']'s play was critical to her team's third consecutive title match and second straight state title. Greschaw has been the steady force this team throughout her four years, amassing over 4,300 assists throughout her career. In this weekend's matches, Greschaw averaged over 11 assists per set.

Scooping up all the heat in the back court, this program's four year starlet, [player_tooltip player_id='110301' first='Hailey' last='Green'] (Wingate) was getting hands on just about everything. She made it all look too easy. With 21 digs in the pair of sweeps, Green's defense had her opponent's hitting at an astounding .085 in the two matches.
