A look at the top defensive specialists in Kentucky’s 2025 class follows.
Simon was named the state’s top defensive high school volleyball player following an exceptional junior season. A key player for state champion Assumption, Simon excels on the court. Simon makes scramble defensive plays routinely and covers the court thoroughly. A talented passer, Simon thrives offensively in addition to excelling defensively. Simon will be carrying momentum over into her senior year.

Davis possesses outstanding defensive skills and ball control skills as a junior. Athletic, Davis recovers from digging on different areas of the court effectively. Reliable, Davis has displayed the ability to make digs regularly and provide accurate sets throughout her high school volleyball career. Davis is among the high school volleyball players on the rise in the 2025 class.
Grace is fast and covers the court thoroughly from her defensive position. Quick-reacting, Grace possesses strong back row skills which allow her to excel. Among the top high school volleyball defensive specialists in the state, Grace is accurate and agile. A longtime leader for her prep volleyball team, Grace excels as a back row hitter and a passer.
