Great players continue to find ways to better balls and Grace will still find ways to do that as the school’s career digs leader. Grace anticipates where balls are going while the other team is making the initial digs then first and second passes using her experience to pick up on opposing hitter tendencies. Grace then goes full out to make the two and three-point passes to put the Notre Dame offense in motion. Grace also earns a lot of points for the Pandas with powerful serves. Grace has 608 digs and 49 aces on the season.

Grace gave another great effort for the Pandas trying to anticpate balls and flying 100 miles per hour trying to keep plays alive. She exemplifies what it means to play the libero position and does a great job encouraging her teammates on the court. Grace also has a solid line drive that produced some key aces in the game. Grace said the Pandas came together as a team after the loss to the Ursuline Lions on Thursday and decided to play their brand of volleyball better.

Julia is leading her nationally ranked #12 Notre Dame Panda team with 5.58 digs per set and .48 aces per set. She is averaging a 2.4 in serve receive on the season. Her team won the Asics Challenge tournament in Chicago last weekend where she tallied 64 digs and 9 aces. This past week she broke the all-time school record for career digs tallying 1,284.

Grace masters first passes day in and day out and her teammates follow the good example. She continues to give maximum effort going after balls and makes things happen setting balls when the Pandas are out of system.

Grace is fast and covers the court thoroughly from her defensive position. Quick-reacting, Grace possesses strong back row skills which allow her to excel. Grace is an experienced defensive player for her high school volleyball team and club squad. Highly productive, Grace is a consistent back row hitter. Grace is committed to Xavier (Ohio).

Grace (pictured up top) has taken lessons learned from previous Notre Dame greats including her older sister Emma and made her own name for the Pandas. She is a hustler covering every square inch of the court well. Grace does a great job reading and reacting to plays leading to exceptional levels of play. Her serving and setting can not be overlooked either. Grace quietly finished third on the team in assists last year.
