She led the Cardinal attackers with 27 kills in the consolation semifinal win over Wadena-Deer Creek. Kenning followed that performance up with 21 kills in the consolation final. Offense gets a lot of glory and praise but Redwood Valley's defense was pretty studly. She knows how to run a really dynamic slide route that makes defenders nervous. Even with WDC taking a pair of losses she hit impressive numbers because she is so effective. In the quarterfinal, the freshman recorded 19 kills while hitting a .385. In the consolation semifinal against Annandale, Gravelle tallied 20 kills and added 3 aces. She led the Beacons in kills and blocks in both of their matchups at the X. Newville had 13 kills while hitting .333 against Caledonia in the quarterfinals.
