As the event quickly approaches, let’s take a look at some of the prospects who have already signed in and will be there showing their skills.
Kareem was with us in one of our last showcases in Houston, in the summer, and was among the prospects that caught our attention on the occasion. I continued to follow her during the high school season with Foster and was happy to see that she continued to progress at a very good pace, earning a starting spot in a solid team. She’s very strong offensively, making contact with the ball at a high point and swinging it hard in all directions – she can be even harder to stop when she gets into a rhythm. Kareem’s blocking is also very effective as she has excellent footwork, which allows her to move quickly at the net, and reads the game very well too.

Mckenzie Hope
I recently got to watch Hope in action during the high school season, playing with Montgomery in the playoffs, and was glad to see she’ll be attending our Top 250 Expo. She was one of Montgomery’s best players in a very strong campaign, which ended against Fulshear in the Regional Semifinals. Hope was one of the leading scorers in her team, using her explosiveness and power to put the ball down at the pin. Her length also makes of her a solid blocker and the outside hitter gets the job done on the backcourt too with reliable passing and strong defense.
Cotten attended our last showcase, in the summer, while in the final stages of recovering from a major knee injury and that alone speaks volumes about her determination and work ethic. Despite still being limited with her movement, she did a very good job and we’re all looking forward to seeing what she can do at full force next week. Cotten had an excellent high school season with Atascocita, regaining her match rhythm to become of the team’s pillars in their campaign. Capable of defending the middle and left positions on the back, she has excellent ball control and also passes at a very high level.
