<p>Even though I made it to a large number of games there were several defensive players in the Class of 2024 that I did not get to see play in person.</p>

<p>Here is a group of deep diggers in Kansas who sadly were not seen by eyes during the 2023 season. I hope to be able to catch a majority of them during the upcoming club season.</p>

<p><strong>Tessa Lohse</strong>, 5'8”, L, Hanover, ‘24</p>

<p>Lohse led the Hanover Wildcats in digs during the 2023 season. She racked up 860 digs in 89 sets played. She is a member of the 1,000-career dig club with over 1,400.</p>

<p><strong>Clare Kuntz</strong>, 5'0”, L/DS, Chapman, ‘24</p>

<p>Kuntz was a defensive wizard during her senior season. She collected 500 digs in 77 sets played for the Fighting Irish.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='495603' first='Tori' last='Brown']</strong>, 5'3”, L, Maranatha Christian Academy, ‘24</p>

<p>During her high school career, Brown never saw a ball she didn't want to dig. She had over 1,300 career digs for the Eagles finishing her senior season with 482 in 107 sets played.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='514620' first='Addison' last='Foster']</strong>, 5'5”, L, Derby, ‘24</p>

<p>I saw Foster play last club season but did not get to watch Derby play. She finished her senior campaign with 463 digs in 91 sets played. She finished with 400-plus digs in her final three high school seasons and finished her high school career with 1,653 total digs.</p>

<p><strong>Haley Biermann</strong>, 5'4”, L, Goodland, ‘24</p>

<p>Goodland had an experienced libero in 2023. Biermann finished with 456 digs in 100 sets played. She also collected 662 serve receptions during her senior season.</p>

<p><strong>Braegan Buessing, </strong>5'3”, L, Santa Fe Trail, ‘24</p>

<p>Buessing was the Chargers' top defensive player in 2023. She finished her senior campaign with 455 digs in 72 sets played for Santa Fe Trail.</p>

<p><strong>Lexsey Dewitt</strong>, 5'4”, DS/L, Emporia, ‘24</p>

<p>Dewitt “The Digger” had a nice season for the Spartans. Her stat sheet included 438 digs in 86 sets played.</p>
