Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Caitlyn Gantzer [2024] 5-10 Outside (HS: Reedy/Club: Texas Advantage /Verbal: University of Central Oklahoma)
Caitlyn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Frisco Reedy High School and also for the Texas Advantage Volleyball club. Miss Gantzer can get up in a hurry from the floor and bang the ball with some power. She has a lightning quick arm swing and uses it to throttle the ball down the line for a kill. She is a six rotation outside who excels in the back row out of the middle back position. I love the way she extends well beyond her zone to dig. Her overall skills are very well suited for the next level. Being very well rounded will come in handy for any squad she is on. We are extremely proud to announce that she has decided to play volleyball at the University of Central Oklahoma. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Erica Dellesky Erica Dellesky 5'10" | S Tompkins | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-10 Setter (HS: Tompkins/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: Virginia Tech University)
Erica is currently ranked as the 87th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Tompkins High School and club for the Houston Skyline volleyball program. Miss Dellesky has been profiled by us quite a few times over the years due to her high level of play both in club and during the high school season. In three years on varsity, this young lady has been extremely productive in helping her team run a high-powered offense. What is also very awesome about her play is she stepped into a hitting role when she was in the front row during the school season and did a great job of scoring for her squad. Being versatile and able to play both as a setter and attacker is why she is ranked on our list. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the Virginia Tech University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Luvina Oguntimehin Luvina Oguntimehin 6'2" | MB Oak Ridge | 2024 TX [2024] 6-2 Middle/Right Side (HS: Oak Ridge/Club: TAV Houston /Verbal: Jacksonville University)
Luvina is currently an unranked prospect in the state according to the 2024 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She stars for Oak Ridge High School and plays club for the Texas Advantage Volleyball Houston program. Miss Oguntimehin has power for days out of the middle position and uses it to her advantage both on defense and offense. I like how she is not a one-tool player and is able to score in a variety of ways at the net. She does not struggle when having to run different routes and different tempos. During blocking, she uses her very lengthy arms to penetrate the net. A lot of players that tall don’t really try to jump very hard, but Luvina still drives her feet into the ground and uses all of her muscles to get as high as she can. I love her athleticism and think she is not done getting better at her craft. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Jacksonville University. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
