As we prepare for a couple of hours of great work and fun, let’s take a look at some of the players who will be in action that day in San Antonio.
A promising prospect from the Austin area, Bennett is in a position to stand out among the outside hitters in our event because of her all-around game. She has everything in her offense, including an impressive jumping ability, a very quick right arm and excellent decision-making and vision, which shows every time she goes up to score, gets a good look across the net and entirely changes the direction of her swing. Bennett is also very consistent on the court and can also produce on the backcourt with reliable passing and strong defensive skills.
Highlights
Martinez typically combines power and smart playing in the middle for her high school and club teams. She’s very physical and can outright beat opponents at the net with her strong right arm, but is also excellent at angling her swings in a way that it makes very difficult for opposing blockers to stop her. She’s also capable of producing at a high volume if she gets into a good offensive rhythm. Martinez is also very effective with her blocking, moving well at the net, getting off the floor quickly and getting a lot of touches above the net.
Highlights
Trevino was one of the several exciting players to emerge from the McAllen region during the last club season. A very technical and determined libero, she does what it takes to keep the ball off the floor and still manages to do it with a smile on her face. We had her at one of our events during the summer and it was great to see her amazing energy again. Trevino is an exceptional defender, who gets to cover a huge area on the back, and also passes and serves at an extremely high level.
