While her Valley Venom – 161 Red team was shorthanded and didn’t have much success over the weekend, dropping all five matches they played, Trevino managed to keep her usual high level on the backcourt. The libero didn’t make things easier for those trying to score on her, playing with great energy and using her quickness and ball control to get digs. Trevino was also very consistent with her passing, covering a large area of the court with great efficiency.

Trevino and her team Valley Venom – 161 Red finished ninth with two wins and three losses. The libero was excellent with her duties on the backcourt and gave her team some much-needed defensive stability. Playing defense behind undersized blockers, Trevino was great at reading the game and very quick to get to the ball and make plays. Her ball control made a huge impact on defense and also helped her pass with great accuracy on the few occasions in which she was served.

Trevino was one of the top players in her Valley Venom – 161 Red team that finished ninth with two wins and three losses. She earned a lot of respect from opponents around Texas after her impressive 15s season last year and now teams do everything they can to avoid serving her during matches. The electric Trevino found other ways to impact the game and was in excellent form playing defense on the left side, displaying impressive reflexes and outstanding ball control. With Valley Venom having somewhat of an undersized roster in comparison to most opponents they faced over the weekend, the defensive stability provided by Trevino was of great value for them.

Trevino will be leading the backcourt efforts of her team Valley Venom – 161 Red in the 16 Open division. She was outstanding during the last club season and solidified her name as one of the rising liberos in Texas with solid performances over the year. She plays with a lot of heart and will do whatever it takes to keep the ball off the floor. Trevino is very quick, explosive and determined and frequently amazes those watching with her incredible defensive action. She manages to keep her energy level high the entire time and is very productive with her passing and serving as well.

Trevino was one of the several exciting players to emerge from the McAllen region during the last club season. A very technical and determined libero, she does what it takes to keep the ball off the floor and still manages to do it with a smile on her face. We had her at one of our events during the summer and it was great to see her amazing energy again. Trevino is an exceptional defender, who gets to cover a huge area on the back, and also passes and serves at an extremely high level.

Trevino was a well-known face after the last club season, but it was fun and interesting to see her in a different environment. Her energy on the court was the exact same as always, giving everything in every single point and pushing her teammates up and cheering them after every play. Her ball control was spot on all day long and she did well defensively even when faced with some of the most powerful hitters of the showcase. Trevino was always very consistent, keeping the same high level in every drill she took part in.

Our Stock Up Showcase will be loaded with talented liberos and Trevino is another one of them. A teammate of Zuniga at Valley Venon – 151 Red, she’s a defensive dynamo, who gets a lot of touches on the backcourt and makes of the task of scoring on her team a very difficult one. Trevino’s defensive skills are outstanding as she reads the game well, moves very quickly to the ball and has tremendous control. She’s also very reliable with her serve-receive, covering a lot of the court and delivering precise passes to her setter. Trevino plays with great energy too and positively impacts the team’s mood.

Trevino is one of a few talented players from a Valley Venon – 151 Red team that I got to watch a couple of times in the season. On both occasions, she really impressed me with her hard work and efficiency on the backcourt. She has to be one of the best pure defenders I got to see in action during the season because very few players could read the game, make defensive moves and control the ball as well as she did. Trevino plays with great energy and that transfer over to her teammates. Her passing was always accurate too and the libero also caused a big impact from the service line with her floater.
