It is important to note, this is the first list and includes primarily players who contributed to their high school varsity roster in 2023. There may be a sprinkle referred by club players. This list will expand this spring once we start seeing them in action during the club season. Here are some of the back-row standouts making the list.
Brooke Beashore Brooke Beashore 5'6" | DS/L Spring Hill | 2027 State KS – Spring Hill
Beashore saw action in 108 sets for a state-qualifying Spring Hill team in 2023. She racked up 230 digs and passed in receive just under 400 times in the year.
Bennett Jacobs Bennett Jacobs 5'4" | DS/L Ellinwood | 2027 State KS – Elinwood
A very productive year for Jacobs out in Elinwood. She was an anchor defensively for this squad with just a shy under 300 digs in her first high school season. She also led the team with 517 receptions.
Baleight Peters – Linn
Peters did her part in attempting to get the team to .500 this year. She had 250 digs and 21 aces in year one.
Amyah Werth Amyah Werth 5'3" | DS/L Hillsboro | 2027 State KS – Hillsboro
Statistically speaking, not many had better years regardless of grade in the dig department in 2023. Werth was all over the court, evidenced by 497 digs and 634 receptions.
Jaylie Whitehead – Silver Lake
Silver Lake made a deep postseason run behind some terrific defensive play all season from the young Whitehead. She tallied 253 digs and passed 370 serves for her team. She added 33 serving aces also.
