18 Black
One junior in particular caught my eye over the last year or so from this roster, and that’s Margaret Coppens-Clark Margaret Coppens-Clark 5'10" | RS Mishawaka | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-10 RS, Mishawaka). Although I’ve seen her primarily as a right side, she could potentially play either pin at the next level. Her long arms make her tough to go against on the block as well. With her high attack touch and terminating swing, she looks to be a solid three-rotation front row player for anyone needing such a player.
17 Purple
The top 17s team at NIVA is loaded with talent. Let’s start with the springiest of the bunch, Kimora Gorman Kimora Gorman 5'10" | RS Elkhart | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-10 RS, Elkhart). She’s a lefty banger that gets up in a hurry. Preferring a faster tempo, she can beat most blocks with her speed or can wait for the block to pass by before she terminates. With her athleticism constantly on display when she plays, I would not be surprised if she was already part of the ten foot club. Lauren Kinsey Lauren Kinsey 5'10" | MB Goshen | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-11 MB, Goshen) is a solid middle option that plays bigger than her frame due to her long arms. She can commit block AND read block with the same success, recovers well if she’s late going from pin to pin, and hammers home two-footed attacks with ease. Sarah Noto Sarah Noto 6'0" | RS Penn | 2025 State IN (’25, 6-0 RS, Penn) is another kid from this roster that can play right side. Like Kimora listed above, I’d like to see her on both pins just to see what a college would be potentially signing. Either way, Sarah is the biggest and most effective “big” on this roster, and she uses her size to her advantage. Finally, Kyla Coolman Kyla Coolman 5'10" | S Penn | 2025 State IN (’25, 5-9 S, Penn) is an excellent setter to have on this roster. She’s fast, athletic, has a high volleyball IQ and runs an offense better than some current collegiate setters. She’s come to our showcases in the past, and has shown out regardless of whom she is setting. For me, that’s the sign of a great setter—it doesn’t matter who’s on the team, she will make them better.
