We had some amazing players from all over the state sign up to show their skills. Many players stood out to our court coaches and scouts throughout the entire expo for a variety of reasons. Some players stood out for their dynamic physical skills and some stood out for intangibles like leadership, effort and attitude. Let’s meet a few of the players who earned the honor of Top Performer at the Expo.
London King London King 5'9" | S Manvel | 2026 TX [2026] 5-8 Setter (HS: Manvel/Club: MoCo Mavs/Verbal: Uncommitted)
London is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official watch list. She plays for Manvel High School and also club for the brand new MoCo Mavs volleyball program. Miss King has attended our showcases before and has always put on a solid show for all of the scouts and coaches in attendance. This session she made it to the top court and proved that she belonged with the best. Routinely she got her hitters in one on one matchups for a better chance to score. She has the physical strength to push the ball to the pins even when the pass is out of system. Her hands are mirror images of each other at contact and on release, which speaks to her consistency. The awesome part about her play is she can double as a right side attacker and not cost her team a sub. She is not just a space-filler either, as she has immense power in her right arm both cross-court and down the line. Miss King plays the game very hard and is very athletic. All of the court coaches agreed that her production on the court merited an award. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award for this showcase.
Avery Brown Avery Brown 5'10" | RS Kingwood | 2026 TX [2026] 5-10 Right Side/Setter (HS: Kingwood/Club: MoCo Mavs/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Avery is an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but turned my head a few times when I watched her during the Expo. She plays at Kingwood High School and also plays for the newly formed MoCo Mavs volleyball club program. Miss Brown is also listed as a setter and has extremely soft hands and can paint the target with her sets over and over. I love her size and strength when she battles at the net. Her blocking is an attribute that she garner a lot of attention from scouts. Setting-wise she has impeccable form and makes the setter position look very easy. As an attacker, her right arm is strong and she adds a lot of firepower to any offense attacking from the opposite position. I see some potential in her game and think she has a very high ceiling to keep improving. We will keep our eye on her for sure as she continues to progress. We are very proud to award her for her play during the Expo. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.
Zainab Kareem Zainab Kareem 5'10" | MB Foster | 2026 TX [2026] 5-10 Right Side/Middle (HS: Foster/Club: Houston Juniors /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Zainab is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but she definitely put on an awesome show at the Expo. She plays at Foster High School and also for the Houston Juniors club program. Miss Kareem was stellar out of the middle in both positional drills and during the scrimmage portion. Her Opposite play was equally dangerous to opponents. I love how she takes a huge swing on every ball and is able to get completely on top of it to control it in the court. She truly knows how to create a lot of momentum to get her vertical higher in both blocking and during her attack approach. While she loads up very well, it shows in her hang time and contact point. Her court coaches pointed her out to me due to her production on the court and we couldn’t keep our eyes off of her explosiveness. She was a no-brainer to win an award. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award from our showcase.
