King and her excellent all-around game once again made of her one of the standouts in our event. I don’t think there was a single skill that she didn’t do well on Sunday as she split her time at the Top 250 Expo between setter and hitter duties. Her playmaking ability was always on point as the setter displayed great ability to connect with her hitters and made good decisions with her ball distribution. When working as a hitter, she did well at the net and also with her passing.

Another prospect to return to our showcases after leaving a strong impression in the summer, King had a solid sophomore season with Manvel. The Mavericks have one of the best setters in the Houston area in Kenedy Massie Kenedy Massie 5'11" | S Manvel | 2025 State TX , but King’s all-around game was more than enough to get her significant playing time. She’s a prospect who can set, hit, block and play defense at a high level and players like that will always be on the court. When setting, she stands out fo her accuracy and consistently good ball-handling.

King left a very good impression in our last Prep Dig Showcase, in the winter, and will be back for another one – we’re excited to see how much she developed in the last six months. Although a very talented and smooth playmaker, she’s also very good in other areas of the game and helps the teams she plays for in a variety of ways. King is very good when playing defense on the right back position and also takes on hitting duties when at thet net. She is part of a strong high school program in Manvel and will play club for the new Moco Mavs club.

I didn’t get to watch King in person during the club season, but followed her progress through social media after she left a very strong impression at our Prep Dig Top 250 Expo in Houston in December. Setters who can do it all at a high level don’t grow in trees and King certainly falls into that category with her complete game. She sets and hits at a very high level with her team New Age 15 Select and will only get better as she continues to work with a fantastic high school program such as Manvel. She had a very good mix of technical and physical skills and that shows in every area of her game, from setting to hitting or playing defense. With that kind of a skill set, her floor is really high and her ceiling is virtually unlimited.

King was one of several players from Manvel High School to stand out in the event. She backed up the excellent Kennedy Massie in her freshman season, but did a great job in using the Top 250 Expo to show she’s also a great setter. The main strength in King’s game is that she’s a true all-around player, who masters most of the skills and can play different roles for the teams she plays for, being capable of hitting from the right or filling in as a defensive specialist.
