I saw Davis unload on the ball and I saw play solid off blocker defense on either pin. She was hitting from front row and back row with accuracy and aggression. Davis is a smart attacker that takes calculated shots.
Highlights
Foor was crushing the ball out of the backrow again and again. I like her movement in middle back defense and she’s always ready to swing. Foor is a strong attacker but really an all around great athlete.
Highlights
Goebel just has the way of making everything look effortless. She is smooth moving and just seems to float when she jumps. Goebel is very dynamic when she turns on beast mode.
Highlights
Hoeksema was taking some monster swings on the ball at the expo this weekend. It was really fun to see how she has developed over the past couple months. Hoeksema is more confident and able to take aggressive and effective swings more consistently.
Highlights
Malcore initially caught my attention with a big hustle play. Then she showed she could hit the ball hard but accurate and worked both the cross-court and the line. Malcore is athletic and smart on the court.
Highlights
McIntyre has a really nice high reach and point of contact on the ball. She is hard hitting, makes smart choices, and communicates well with those around her. McIntyre is also a really solid blocker that is tough to work around.
Highlights
Tarkowski was taking massive rips on the ball. I am impressed every time I see her with her explosive power and her ability to be consistently effective as an attacker. Tarkowski is also a very good defensive player that can dig up anything hit in her direction.
Taylor made some nice defensive plays to get things started but then I saw her take a big heavy swing on the ball. The next swing she showed off her cross body shot. She has a nice passing platform and attacks well from the back row as well as from the outside.
Unterweger was hitting shots, slicing the ball and really showing her different tools when working in positionals. She does a nice job of making really smart choices with the ball. Unterweger moves quickly, and communicates as well as utilizes her speed and athleticism.
Westby got everyone excited when she absolutely demolished an overpass. She also never stopped working hard through the whole expo. Westby put up a good block and worked really hard in transition in drills as well as game play.
