11. [player_tooltip player_id='357573' first='Vada' last='Brattin'] - OH - Park Hill South/Club North

Brattin was a bright spot on a Park Hill South team that struggled this year and were without a top player for an extended time. She showed she can be counted on to score points after getting 217 kills, up from 65 the year before. She was an asset defensively with just shy of 200 digs on the year.

13. [player_tooltip player_id='222069' first='Lauren' last='Ortwerth'] - OH - Cor Jesu/High Performance

The young pin showed no evidence of a sophomore slump in her second season, going well north of 200 kills again on the year. She saw her kill percentage go up which is a good sign for things to come. At 6'0", we expect to see her numbers in the blocking game take a jump over the next couple of seasons.

16. [player_tooltip player_id='357615' first='Piper' last='Bahr'] - OH - Lee's Summit North/Invasion

Bahr was a pleasant surprise in the state this season, being among the leaders in kills with 435, up from the 129 she racked up in her freshman season. She displayed many different ways to score points this fall and look forward to seeing that transfer over to the club season.

20. [player_tooltip player_id='222068' first='Leah' last='Stephens'] - DS/L - Nerinx Hall/High Performance

Stephens has a reputaton as one of the top young defenders on the East side of the state. She backed that up by leading her team in digs this past fall with 307. Her quick first step and reaction time were key in her success.

21. [player_tooltip player_id='490109' first='Millie' last='Bauer'] - MB - Springfield Catholic/Mavs

Bauer is another player who saw their stock skyrocket in 2023. It's not like her freshman season was bad, totaling 176 kills and 38 blocks. But her sophomore season saw 426 kills and 77 blocks. She will make the journey this club season to compete for Mavs in Kansas City.

23. Lillie Bott - DS/L - St. Charles/Club: Unknown

A digging machine, Bott had 595 of them this fall for St. Charles. This was after a freshman season in which she gobbled up 484. She's steady in serve/receive and does a good job of keeping her team in systems.

25. [player_tooltip player_id='222062' first='Madison' last='Browning'] - OH - Kearney/Optimum

Browning is on her way to a 1,000 kill high school career at the pace she's on. Consecutive 250+ kill seasons, with 363 in her sophomore campaign. She terminated at close to 40% on the year. The biggest improvement in her game was seen defensively, where she got over the 100 dig mark.

26. [player_tooltip player_id='222074' first='Parker' last='Kimball'] - MB - Park Hill/Mavs 816

The biggest improvement I saw in Kimball's game this fall was her level of aggressiveness when her team was looking to score. She finished the year just shy of 200 kills but saw her shot selection improve in her second season. She made the move this club season to Mavs 816.

30. [player_tooltip player_id='490580' first='Katie' last='Krus'] - RS - Ursaline/

We missed quite a few Ursaline players due to lack of stats on MaxPreps but after being alerted we find Krus at 30. She was a key player on the right side and had some big matches this fall that helped her team reach the state title game, in which she had 11 kills.
