Coaches tabbed Merritt quickly as a difference maker on the outside. Her hammer arm was working overtime in positional drills and that big-time swing carried over to the scrimmage. Merritt played with confidence and had the look of a high-use, six-rotation outside hitter. One Expo coach mentioned that Merritt has improved her quickness and overall defensive game in the past year.

Johnson is a 2025 prospect from Eastlake* and at a solid 6’0, she was scoring from both pins throughout the day at the Expo. The junior attacker impressed one coach specifically with her focus on the details during positional drills and her competitive play during six-on-six. Johnson will be with Sudden Impact 17 Storm this club season, a squad that is set to make a run at the top of the PSR rankings in 2024.

It was fun to see Carey-Boxley playing on the outside, and she quickly proved to be a Top performer at the Expo. She was able to attack effectively from the pipe, and her bounce and athleticism carried right over from her usual MB position. Carey-Boxley would be a difficult match-up as a blocker for opposing attackers on the pin, her great timing and quickness impressed coaches along with her upbeat attitude.
A sophomore from Kamiakin, Krumland played with a fearless attitude and showed off a big vertical and solid power from the outside. Her 5’7 height did not make a difference, she attacked off-block and high hands and used a quick arm to terminate when the block wasn’t closed. Coaches identified Krumland as a “winner who is not afraid to take a big swing.” She will have a big role with the Braves next season and will compete for Shockwave 16U during club.

Ford played with great control and a purpose. coaches noted that she never seemed to get in a hurry and consistently made the right plays in all phases of the game. the 6’0 junior had a very strong performance out of the pipe, showing off an accurate and strong arm while attacking the corners of the floor. Ford is well-trained and executes the fundamentals with skill and precision.
Dittoe is a senior who worked extremely hard at the Expo and deservedly received Top Performer recognition. The Edmonds-Woodway prospect plays longer than her listed 6’0 size and was tough to stop especially on the right side. She finished off points with a great snap on her swing, powering kills to the floor. The 2024 is working hard to find her next stop and will be with the NW Juniors 18’s in her final club season.
