Weekend Watchlist: SCVA Girls 16U Vol. 1

PrepDigCa's club coverage officially kicked off this weekend. Following an incredible high school season featuring ‘Prospects to Watch,' honoring ‘Golden Athletes,' recognizing ‘PrepDig Players of the Game,' witnessing prospects excel with ‘The Work. The Reward.'—embracing the ethos of ‘First One In, Last One Out'—and singling out ‘Top Performers' at the Expo, we now shift our focus to club exposure.

Yesterday was Day 1 for numerous prospects eagerly hoping to make an impact this club season. Among them are those who've forged strong bonds with teammates over the years and newcomers, aspiring for rapid chemistry within their new clubs. Certain coaches possess squads expected to excel greatly, while others hope their raw blend of talent proves effective. Some teams will end the day with uplifting team discussions, while others will leave with a lengthy to-do list inside the gym. But we should not get too ahead of ourselves, whereas the tournament dates are set, the script for these prospects is yet to be written.

Among my Weekend Watchlist are prospects comfortably perched atop multiple Division 1 lists and others eagerly seeking their chance to shine.

I explored the coveted 'Top 12' Courts and am eager to introduce some of the ‘Standout Performers' from the day, along with a player analysis for the esteemed FORZA1 NORTH 16 ONE team.

Miz LB 16 Rockstar

#2 [player_tooltip player_id='772595' first='Kaia' last='Ciszewski'], OH

#4 [player_tooltip player_id='391915' first='Tiani' last='Shaw'], LB

#6 [player_tooltip player_id='391353' first='Brynn' last='Minter'], OH

#18 [player_tooltip player_id='772611' first='Cayenne' last='Ceman'], OH

#20 [player_tooltip player_id='391082' first='Addison' last='Coady'], MB

#25 [player_tooltip player_id='482022' first='Elle' last='Vandeweghe'], MB

#28 [player_tooltip player_id='311353' first='Reese' last='Stringer'], S

COAST 16-Luis

#2 [player_tooltip player_id='391095' first='Samantha' last='Krystkowiak'], RS

#9 Havani Embry, LB

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='391089' first='Madyson' last='McCarthy'], OH

#11 Bryce Buchner, S

#13 Maximé Pheasant, S

#14 [player_tooltip player_id='542462' first='Mila' last='Gehlen'], OH

#12 [player_tooltip player_id='391088' first='Bryce' last='Leatherwood'], MB

Surfside 16 Legends Hayley

#8 Mahala Huntsman, S

#9 Addison Junk, OH

#13 [player_tooltip player_id='712189' first='Avery' last='Junk'], OH

#18 [player_tooltip player_id='468974' first='Nessa' last='Nyblade'], S

#44 Sophia Schneck, LB

Vegas Aces 16 UnderArmour

#3 Tristyn Ervin, S

#6 Tierney Ervin, OH

#8 Ayanna Watson, OH

#28 Darby Lile, MB

SoCal VBC 16-Beacons

#2 Samantha Rudman

#3 Ayna De Guzman

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='469145' first='Blair' last='Gardiner']

#9 [player_tooltip player_id='482048' first='Whitney' last='Fairfield']

#11 Ellie Woolwine

#21 Morgan Duse-Anthony

#27 Mia Tarbutton-Morales

SG Elite 16 Roshambo

#2 Camellia Ding, RS

#3 [player_tooltip player_id='542450' first='Aberdeen' last='Callaway'], OH

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='483655' first='Olivia' last='Grovert'], S

#18 [player_tooltip player_id='542485' first='Kylie' last='Parker'], Witnessing Westley in action immediately reveals her athletic aggression. While Westley exhibits a versatile skill set, it's her sheer power that truly demands attention from the get-go.rnrnIn the back row, her top spin serve mirrors the speed of SC's Mia Tuaniga.
