Examples like Logan Brent Logan Brent 5'8" | OH Anoka | 2024 State MN committing to D3 Gustavus Adolphus, Elli Tufto Elli Tufto 6'0" | RS Prior Lake | 2025 State MN committing to D1 Montana State, Hannah Koester Hannah Koester 5'10" | OH Northfield | 2025 State MN committing to D1 Pacific, Gretchen Volk Gretchen Volk 5'8" | DS/L Willmar | 2025 State MN committing to D2 Sioux Falls, and Alice Steman Alice Steman 6'0" | MB Cambridge Isanti | 2025 State MN committing to D1 Montana State. Let’s take a look at a few athletes ready to be recruited at the Prep Dig Minnesota Top 250 Expo.
I got to see Gudknecht in action this past fall with Apple Valley as they hosted the Eagle Invite. She was impressive not only because of her abiity to hit from the middle but the fact that she was playing 6 rotations and then would take dynamic swings from the outside as well. Gudknecht is a fun player with a lot of versatility.
Highlights
Pridon is another player I got to see in action this past fall at the Eagle Invite. She was running a 5-1 and doing a great job orchestrating the Chaska offense.
Highlights
Laffond was another player that stood out to me at the Eagle Invite this past fall and I’m looking forward to seeing her in action again. She has the way of getting up in the air quickly before anyone else seems to. Laffond has anive high reach and contact point that proves helpful on both offense and defense.
Reese Drake
Reese Drake
Drake is a highly explosive attacker and it doesn’t matter where she is swinging from. She takes big rips with no fear out of the backrow. Drake is very aggressive at the net and doesn’t shy away from taking a hefty swing there as well.
I really liked how Northfield utilized Larson this season. With Montana State commit, Teagan Jaynes Teagan Jaynes 6’0″ | S Northfield | 2025 State MN as a setter there typically wouldn’t be much opportunity for anyone else but thankfully she is also a dynamic attacker. Northfield utilized Larson as a setter in her freshman season in order to give Jaynes the opportunity to swing which really elevated their offense.
Highlights
Connell was part of a 6-2 when I saw Prior Lake playing at the Eagle Invite. Connell was consistent and steady in her ability to put up a lot of hittable balls and give her attackers a lot of opportunities.
I’m always excited to get to see Bjorklund in action. She moves really well and jump sets everything. She has good footwork and is solid in all 6 rotations whether she is setting in a 5-1 or 6-2. Bjorklund can unload and take a really heavy swing and turn the ball to the line as she’s swinging. I know when I saw her at the Prep Dig Gauntlet last year I saw her at the Gauntlet and knew she would be a player to keep an eye on.
Highlights
Otto is an attacker that is quick off the ground and gets her arm back early. Her arm swing happens like the pull of a trigger as she snaps her wrist and gets a nice topspin on her attack. She will be a player that takes a LOT of swings. When blocking Otto seals the net for a solid block.
I’m so excited to see Panagiotopoulos back! I’ve seen her at a previous Showcase of ours but also got to see her at the Show Me Qualifier in Kansas City last season. And let me tell you, when she gets ahold of the ball she can rip it. You don’t want to give her an open net.
I saw Kusnier compete with Northern Lights last year at the Show Me Qualifier and I really do like her nice high contact. She also can take a big swing with a lot of explosive power.
