As we edge closer to the first whistle at 0800 on Saturday morning, we talk more about kids in the class of 2026 playing in the Indiana Convention Center this weekend. Here are six athletes from four different rosters that will make an impact in their respective teams' success.

Boiler Juniors 163E White

Like all Boiler Juniors teams, ball control will be the key to winning for this particular squad from West Lafayette. [player_tooltip player_id='505667' first='Brianna' last='Allen'] ('26, 5-6 DS/L, McCutcheon) is a left back genius that has a smooth platform to go with her constantly active feet. Although I've only personally seen her play left back, I'm sure that she's adept at any of the back row positions, and her fundamentals prove it.

Circle City 16 White

I saw this team play earlier this month at the Early Bird Shootout, and the two I mentioned before still make waves for this roster today. [player_tooltip player_id='487350' first='Emmerson' last='Gott'] ('26, 6-0 MB, Western Boone) is a long and lean middle who could also play right side because of that length and volleyball IQ. I like her high attack AND block point, and if there's something you can get out of Miss Gott, it's that you can't teach height. Wearing the libero jersey for this squad is [player_tooltip player_id='499450' first='Krea' last='Martin'] ('27, 5-5 DS/L, Columbus East), who plays more mature than her age suggests. She's always active on defense, can pass half the court on serve receive, and is tough from behind the base line.

COA 16-[program_tooltip program_id='430083' first='Chaos' last='']

A unique part of this job is that you get to see players that you wouldn't normally see. Add to that fact that sometimes what you see is not always what you get, which makes it fun for a volleynerd like myself. [player_tooltip player_id='254826' first='Makenzie' last='Creviston'] ('26, 5-11 MB/RS, Greencastle) is a LEFT-HANDED middle. Yes, you read that correctly. The matchup problems alone score points because of the unorthodox nature to being a lefty in the middle. Realistically, she should project to being a right side in college. That being said, she's already performed well in the middle in high school and should do more of the same at the club level.

Dunes 16 Black

There seems to be no shortage of size on the Dunes rosters at this age group. [player_tooltip player_id='505669' first='Meghan' last='Carroll'] ('26, 5-11 MB, New Prairie) is a big and physical middle that takes up space on the block and hits angles well from the middle. [player_tooltip player_id='505671' first='Abby' last='Haring'] ('26, 5-11 S/OH, Michigan City) can, quite literally, do every position on the court. I've seen her be part of a modified 6-2, where she would set from the back row and attack from either pin in the front row. Her size also helps matters---she can outswing smaller opponents while setting a tight pass and locating the ball well for her hitters.
