This is the first edition of a new Prep Dig Kansas series of scouting reports that will focus on “Under The Radar” prospects. Athletes who perhaps are not getting the exposure as other players, players outside of the rankings, players from small Kansas schools or on small club teams, and in this instance six athletes who have not been featured on Prep Dig in the past six months.

[player_tooltip player_id='204106' first='Addie' last='Hashagen'], 5'11”, OH/RS, Olathe Northwest, ‘25

Hashagen is currently ranked No. 17 in the Class of 2025. She was on a loaded Raven roster last season and played in just 44 varsity sets. During the junior season she finished with 25 kills and 19 blocks. She will be looking to show off her skills during the club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='173377' first='Lily' last='Gray'], 6'4”, MH, Sterling, ‘25

Gray is ranked No. 40 by Prep Dig among her peers. She is a physical specimen who caught my attention at an open gym. She plays for Air Capital Aces. She did not play high school ball last season due to an injury. She has a big reach and can block. A former Division I coach attending the same event shared with me that in his opinion she is a Division I talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='219725' first='Jo'Mhara' last='Benning'], 6'1”, OH/RS, Topeka High, ‘25

Benning is currently ranked No. 53 in the Class of 2025. She plays with a mean streak and hits the ball hard. She is also a top softball prospect. Benning plays for the Topeka Saints and I look forward to watching her in person later this month.

[player_tooltip player_id='219717' first='Kaitlyn' last='Cure'], 5'9”, OH, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘25

Cure is currently ranked No. 56 overall among her 2025 peers. She finished her junior season with 149 kills in 75 sets played. She can play six rotations as she also collected 270 serve receptions, 219 digs, and 63 aces. I planned to see Cure compete in a club scrimmage last week, but the weather altered those plans. Cure plays for the Air Capital Aces.

[player_tooltip player_id='349385' first='Ava' last='Esser'], 6'1”, OH, Seaman, ‘25

Esser is ranked No. 76 overall. The Seaman prospect played on a state-champion team as a junior. She finished with 168 kills and 17 blocks in 99 sets played. Esser should have a more prominent role on the Vikings roster next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='338557' first='Myiah' last='Soderberg'], 5'3”, L, Washburn Rural, ‘25

Soderberg was on the “watch list” the last time the rankings were updated. She is a salty libero with a solid platform. She is playing for the Topeka Saints this season after playing with the Topeka Elite. Washburn Rural is a program that does not post stats for the public on Max Preps.
