Circle City 15 Black
Size and skill highlight this roster from top to bottom. Many of these players could play significant roles on other 1s teams around the city, but definitely found a home in Plainfield. Ali Nobbe Ali Nobbe 6'1" | OH Oldenburg Academy | 2027 State IN (’27, 6-0 OH, Oldenburg Academy), cousin of Josie Nobbe, class of ’23 and starting outside hitter at Fairmont State (NCAA II) in West Virginia. Similar in size and playing style, Ali is a long and lean outside hitter that looks quite fluid in her play. Kaylen Plunkard Kaylen Plunkard 5'10" | OH Center Grove | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-10 OH, Center Grove) has strength on her side, and hits a heavier ball than you might expect from a freshman.
Rev 15-2 Panthers
All-around skill seems to be the benchmark for most of these players on Rev’s 2s team. Willow Coyner Willow Coyner 5'10" | MB Mount Vernon | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-10 MB, Mount Vernon) is a lithe and quick middle that can do a little of everything. She could easily play on the pin at the next level, and I would not be surprised if she started moving in that direction as she gets more training. Laynie Holman Laynie Holman 5'9" | OH Westfield | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-9 OH, Westfield) is a primary-passing, six-rotation outside for this year and beyond. Her smooth approach to the game led me to believe she has some outdoor play in her experience, and I was right (for once). Both Willow and Laynie have played multiple USA Beach events at iBeach in Westfield in the past.
Team Indiana Elite 15.1
The most eclectic of teams in the 15s division, two players stood out to me as “wows” on this roster. Addyson Dean Addyson Dean 6'1" | OH Columbus | 2028 IN (’28, 6-1 Pin, Columbus Northside MS) is a big and physical pin attacker that whips her arm through the hitting zone from both pins. With her size, she could be a defensive right side, an attacking right side or a three-rotation outside at the next level. And she’s only in eighth grade! Another I didn’t expect on this roster is Grace Gwin Grace Gwin 5'5" | DS/L Indianapolis Bishop Chatard | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-5 DS/L, Bishop Chatard ). Calm and quick, Grace has the maturity to run the floor defense and the athleticism to do the job herself. Anchored in left back, she’s a big reason for this squad’s early success this season.
