Continue ReadingStop number two of the Tour of Texas series had tons of top level talent taking part of this prestigious event this past weekend. We had three of our scouts covering the tourney as it was held in many different venues across the Houston area. I focused my attention on the 16 Invitational division on Saturday morning and it was amazing. Let’s “Dig” in find out who shined bright on the court.
Drive Nation 16 Red
While I have seen a lot of these players in action last season and in the summer, I was intrigued to see them in action together on the same team. This team has underwent a few changes from their roster of last season. Some key players were added and they are extremely dynamic. While their entire roster helped them to battle tough against their opponents, these were the players who stood out to me while I watched them in person for a few matches.
Kareena “Coco” Natarajan [2026] 6-0 Setter (HS: Lovejoy/Club: Drive Nation /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Coco is currently ranked as the 48th best overall prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Lovejoy High School and also club for the Drive Nation volleyball program. Ever since she was 14 years old, I thought she would blossom into a very great setter and I was right. What I didn’t know is how good of a volleyball player she would become. Her overall game is rounding out just about right. I was very impressed with her offensive skill set as she never came off of the court when rotating to the front row. Many times she rose up with confidence from a picturesque approach and throttled the ball well. She has the size and frame to battle at the net on the defensive end. Once she focuses on her form and strength, blocking will add to what is an impressive all around game. As a setter, she was super impressive delivering the ball with perfect form and technique. Every coach in the country should give her a look as she will be able to play in college as a setter for sure.
Jaidyn Hartsfield Jaidyn Hartsfield 5'7" | S Mesquite Horn | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-9 Outside (HS: Horn/Club: Drive Nation /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jaidyn is currently ranked as the 33rd best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball for Mesquite Horn High School and also plays for the Drive Nation club program. While I have witnessed Miss Hartsfield play multiple positions on the volleyball court over the last few years, she looked super impressive on the left side as an attacker. It didn’t matter whether she was front tow or back row as her scoring ability was front and center in the match I saw. When the team was out of system, her setters knew that she was primed and ready to swing away. And boy did she. Over and over she unleashed some beautiful attacks that scored deep in the corners with some awesome top spin. Jaidyn has an enormous amount of confidence in her abilities and leads by example with it on the court. She is definitely a player to watch for all college coaches who want a player who can truly do it all on the court.
Auna Wiegand Auna Wiegand 6'1" | MB Panther Creek Frisco | 2026 State TX [2026] 6-0 Middle (HS: Panther Creek/Club: Drive Nation /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Auna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Panther Creek High School and also for the Drive Nation volleyball club. Miss Wiegand made some serious waves this winter in our showcase that we had in Dallas so I was super pumped to see her in action with her squad. As a middle, she has the frame, speed and power to be super solid. Her game has progressed so much in such a short amount of time. It is this aspect that tells me that she will be a great recruit for someone soon. The way she drove her lower body into the ground so hard when she approached for quick sets was astounding. When she connected with the ball, she showed some awesome power. There were times where she showed perfect form while blocking and I was super excited to add that to my notes. I will be watching her progress very closely and I think you should also.
There were some other players who also played amazing in the matched I watched. Outside hitter Sloan Reed Sloan Reed 5'10" | OH John Paul II | 2026 State TX played amazing for Drive in the match that I watched. She has always been a great attacker, but her blocking showed very well this day also. Outside hitter Jayden Fitzgerald Jayden Fitzgerald 5'9" | OH Red Oak | 2026 State TX was a monster as an attacker. I am not sure there is a more aggressive swinger in the grad class. Every swing is a violent display of her arm slashing through the air and pounding the ball. She is very fun to watch and I think you will think so also. Libero Summer Hodge Summer Hodge 5'6" | DS/L Frisco Reedy | 2026 State TX was very impressive as she quickly moved all over the court to keep the ball alive for her squad. Libero/defensive specialist Ava Dyer Ava Dyer 5'8" | DS/L R L Paschal | 2026 State TX was spectacular in serve receive. The most magnificent aspect of her play was how well she kept her picture perfect posture throughout the entire serve receive process. While most players tend to raise their upper body the moment they see the ball come their way or be contacted, Ava is one of the only players who can keep her shoulders forward and an arch in her back. This kind of discipline tells me that she is ready for the big stage and I think she will turn some heads when it comes to college recruiting. Stay tuned for more on this squad as we cover them this season.
