“Hi my name is Addison Coady Addison Coady 6’2″ | MB Mater Dei | 2026 State CA ! I’m a 2026 middle blocker from Newport Beach, California. I play for Mizuno Long Beach 16 Rockstar This will be my third year competing at Triple Crown, and it’s always been a super awesome experience. You get your first opportunity to see all the different teams from around the nation, to see how everyone has grown and what new skills everyone has. It’s just really fun to play and compete against them. There is an also an extra excitement because its the first big travel tournament of the season. It’s honestly a really cool experience and I’ve always loved playing in it.
With Triple Crown right around the corner, I’m doing a lot to prepare in terms of training and mentality, as well as getting ready for recruiting. I’m currently lifting 4-5 times a week to get my body properly prepared and to be able to preform to the best of my ability for my team. As a team, we’re working extremely hard both on and off the court to become a connected, strong, and successful.
We’re all extremely competitive and have big goals for Triple Crown this year. On a recruiting standpoint, l’ve been researching a lot of colleges both academically and athletically to narrow down what might be the best fit. I’m sending a lot of emails out to colleges to begin my recruiting process and start to build a connection with the coaches. Overall, I’m super stoked to get to play in this tournament and to have the privilege to play in front of hundreds of colleges with my team.” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“There is a lot involved in my preparation for Triple Crown. I try to stay positive off and on the court about my play and performance, run through certain plays in my head, and listening to music before games. As a person of faith, prayer is an important part of my prep for all games and tournaments. Practicing 3-4 days a week, and growing together with my teammates to build trust and chemistry with each other is important. I also take private lessons to strengthen my weaknesses on the court and keeping my game up to par. Strength and conditioning is a key part to my preparation but more importantly the recovery. I see my sports therapists and chiropractor a few days a week. Keeping in touch with colleges is also an important part of my training in preparing for Triple Crown.” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“Triple Crown is a BIG deal this year! There has never been as much excitement for volleyball as there is now in the United States. With the Olympics around the corner, the launch of a new professional league, and the exciting conclusion of a historical college season, the scene has been set for high level club volleyball and Triple Crown is the kick-off! For so many athletes, Triple Crown also marks the start of recruiting hype and big qualifiers!
Last year, the competition at Triple Crown set our standard of competitive and physical play and we went on to National qualifiers to earn an OPEN bid and battle at Nationals. This year, Sports Academy 17-Jen Premier has improved – we are bigger, stronger, smarter, deeper, and our expectations are higher! I welcome the National stage and an amazing club season ahead!” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“I’m thrilled to be going back to Triple Crown in just a few weeks. One of my fondest memories is winning it last year with my teammates and best friends. It was surreal to play on one of the biggest stages for club volleyball against the best competition and ultimately win it all. To get ready for the tournament this year, we are pinpointing what we need to work on and doing specific drills to improve on those areas. Our coaches are preparing detailed practice plans, and we are coming in with the desire to get 1% better each day.” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“Throughout these past couple of weeks, my team and I have talked about what our goals are for NIT and what steps we’re going to take to get there. We have been working hard at practice and putting in a lot of time and preparation. There have been challenging moments, but there are also many rewarding and worthwhile moments, too. As my team and I went there last year, we know that there will be scouts there, we know it will be loud, and we know it will be competitive, but that’s why we play—we play for those moments. I wish all teams best of luck!” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

“Triple crown is one of my favorite tournaments of the season. We get to play vs some of the best and most competitive teams in the country, which makes it so much fun. Last year my team made it to the 15s final, which was one of the coolest experiences. We were on the championship court surrounded by people and players. This year, we have been preparing for triple crown ever since the beginning of the season. Most of Our team has been together since 12s, so getting to grow and continue to play has been awesome. Our team is super close, which helps translate on the court! We have been training both on and off the court, whether it’s working out, extra practices, or just eating well to help us prepare. I am so excited for this season and what’s to come! ” Quote provided to Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig
