I don't know if it was a Daylight Savings Time hangover, a hangover from State Basketball Week, or if every Starbucks in Wichita was closed, as the overall play at the 17U Power League matches in Wichita left something to be desired.

I scouted four matches on March 10, from the Heart Of America 17U Power League action in Wichita.

Here is the second of three reports on prospects who played in the Wichita event.

This one focuses on five athletes. All of these are attackers who stand at least 5-foot-11 and who had noticeable hitting performances on a day that provided less than normal big-hitting days compared to the previous Power League competition days I have scouted this club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='520294' first='Kenzy' last='McArtor'], 6'0”, MB/OH, Clearwater, '25 (KS Networks 17-1)

McArtor had one of the better matches that I have seen her have. She can punish a volleyball. With her big reach, McArtor recorded three kills and one block in a win over Alpha & Omega. McArtor is having a quality club season and hopes that her performance will spark interest in her recruitment.

[player_tooltip player_id='499217' first='Harlee' last='Randall'], 6'0”, MH, Flint Hills, '25 (Shockwave 17-1)

Randall stepped up her game for Shockwave while a couple of her other front-row teammates struggled to get the wagons unhitched in the early morning action. Randall is a quiet assassin on this roster and she finished with three kills and one block in the Shockwave's loss to Alpha & Omega 17-1.

[player_tooltip player_id='219726' first='Ella' last='Bolan'], 5'11”, MB/OH, Silver Lake, '25 (Topeka Saints 17-1)

Bolan had a decent game for the Topeka Saints but was far from the best I have seen from her. She was one of five players on the Saints roster who played in various basketball tournaments this weekend. She finished with six kills, two digs, and two serve receptions in the Saints' loss to [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 17-2.

[player_tooltip player_id='493530' first='Taylor' last='Foxworthy'], 5'11”, OH, Olathe Northwest, '25 ([program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 17-2)

Foxworthy was one of the primary reasons that [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] was able to defeat the Shockwave. The Olathe Northwest prospect has a big arm and hits a heavy ball. She finished with three kills in her team's win over the Topeka Saints

[player_tooltip player_id='493369' first='Sophia' last='Plotnikov'], 5'11”, MH/OH, Olathe Northwest, '25 ([program_tooltip program_id='515466' first='Pohaku' last=''] 17-1)

I kidded with Plotnikov before the match that I was still waiting for her to just take over and dominate a match for her team. Well, I am still waiting. She has a trunk load of talent and made a couple of really nice defensive plays, but she still has not had a giant hitting night with me in attendance. Plotnikov's stat line from the game I scouted included four digs, two kills, one block, and one ace.
