Top Debuting Athletes: Kansas Class of 2024 Rankings Update

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This morning a new round of rankings updates were published on Prep Dig Kansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The class of 2024 now has 200 athletes ranked with their peers and over 100 of them have committed to play volleyball for college programs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With every round of updates, some players arrive in the ranking for the first time. After taking over the responsibility of creating the rankings this month, I found several committed athletes who were not previously ranked. The following six athletes represent the highest-ranking newcomers to the Kansas Class of 2024 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='515957' first='Carly' last='Koster']</strong>, 6'2”, MB, Maize South (Missouri Southern)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top debuting athlete enters the rankings in the No. 49 position. Koster finished her senior season at Maize South with 151 kills and 74 total blocks. She has committed to play for the Missouri Southern Lions a Division II program.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='119722' first='Karoline' last='Schroeder']</strong>, 5'7”, MB, Wheatland-Grinnell (Cloud County CC)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Debuting in the No. 56 slot is a Cloud County committed athlete. Schroeder posted an eye-popping 417 kills in 94 sets played during her senior season. She is a potential six-rotation talent whose stat line from last season included 523 serve receptions, 355 digs, 36 blocks, and 46 aces.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='515019' first='Maddy' last='Wolf']</strong>, 5'6”, RS, Heritage Christian Academy, (Kansas Wesleyan)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wolf enters the rankings at No. 57. She has a big arm, and will be a solid complimentary athlete for Kansas Wesleyan and a potential All-Conference player as she gains experience. She finished with 162 kills on a Chargers' roster which was loaded with attackers. She has a heavy and accurate serve that resulted in 65 aces as senior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='514635' first='Brooke' last='Galey']</strong>, 5'7”, RS, Anderson County (Hutchinson CC)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Galey is a small school product with some bounciness to her game. She debuts at No. 59 in the Class of 2024. She has committed to join Jayhawk Conference contender Hutchinson.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='514912' first='Carlie' last='Carlgren']</strong>, 5'8”, OH/DS, Concordia (Cloud County CC)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Debuting in the rankings in the No. 63 slot is Concordia's Carlgren. Carlgren is a hitter who can also play solid defense. She finished her senior season with 246 digs and 100 kills. She won't have far to travel as she is committed to playing for Cloud County CC in Concordia.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
