With a recent update to our 2024 Player Rankings, that makes it a great time to do our prospect roulette.

Here's how it works: I'll pop up a random number generator that includes the 2024 rankings. I'll generate 10 numbers and the 10 that come up will be the ranking of the player. I'll then spotlight those players in the article to help give them some more attention.

There's 160 players ranked in our Class of 2024. Let's see who has the lucky numbers this month:

21. [player_tooltip player_id='172207' first='Olivia' last='Behen'], DS/L Saline/L2

Behen has been one of the steadiest defenders in the state. She's got a natural feel for the libero position and is a great leader on the floor. She's shown the ability to move to other positions because of her natural athleticism. She's heading to Grand Valley State in the fall.

58. [player_tooltip player_id='176597' first='Sophia' last='Allen'], OH GRCC/MVA

The near 6-foot outside can deliver an explosive kill over and over again. She's got the arm length to come down strongly over the top of the ball. Her attack angles allow her to get on a roll quickly and once she builds steam, she's very difficult to stop.

42. [player_tooltip player_id='110300' first='Ashlee' last='Gnau'], DS/L Northville/Legacy

Another elite defender in the state, Gnau has played her way to being part of the Syracuse volleyball team next fall. Gnau has a lot of big-match experience, which allows her to stay composed in pressure situations. Her technique is solid and she never looks outmatched.

116. [player_tooltip player_id='261171' first='Kadence' last='Morse'], MH/RS Bedford/Toledo Dynamite

At 6'2, Morse can be very imposing at the net. She's shown the ability to finish at a high rate, if she's playing in the middle or on the right side. Morse adapts well to out-of-system balls as well, still generating consistent power on any swing.

158. [player_tooltip player_id='523657' first='Abby' last='Latchana'], MH Davison/Five:1

Latchana can play the middle or the right side. She shows the ability to adapt well to the ball, as she reads the defense well and can find openings on the floor. Her timing on her power swings can improve, but she's capable of being a strong talent.

144. [player_tooltip player_id='153670' first='Maiya' last='Clark'], S/RS Dexter/Legends

Clark is setter/hitter combo with a lot of lift off the floor. She's got a very smooth swing and she glides toward the net for what seems like minutes. Clark's form and vertical allow for a consistently powerful attack that can work past blockers.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='110288' first='Cayla' last='Cogan'], OH Clarkston/Legacy

Cogan bounced back very well from a knee injury a year ago and returned this fall with her elite-level power swing still intact. Cogan can dial up the fastball with the best of them, but her athleticism has helped her improve defensively as well. She could be a big breakout star at the next level with George Washington.

86. [player_tooltip player_id='222363' first='Kaitlyn' last='Marsh'], MH Utica Ford/Legacy

Marsh has really looked her best in recent weeks. She's been a dominant finisher in the middle thanks to her smooth footwork and ability to score with power and offspeed shots. The 6'1” middle is heading to Davenport, where she has the potential to really shine and make an immediate impact.

61. [player_tooltip player_id='110293' first='Mia' last='Eickholdt'], RS Country Day/Legacy

Eickholdt can play the middle or the pin and be a dominant hitter at either spot. She's got a big vertical with a strong over-the-top swing. Her ability to shift her arm angle mid-flight is impressive as well. Eickholdt can place the ball in some tough spots.

134. [player_tooltip player_id='500651' first='Ava' last='Orlando'], DS/L Romeo/Michigan Elite

Orlando is a gamer that gives her all in the back row. She may not be the most technically sound or the quickest in a talented DS 2024 class, but she plays with a lot of determination and never gives up on the play. She's also very resilient, which is a big asset toward success.
