Matheny hangs onto the top spot given the success her team is earning once again with her at the helm of the offense of one of the most complete teams in the nation. Although other hands control this offense at times, Matheny is the master of distribution and decision-making for a group that has several individuals among the top-ranked prospects, including three key arms on this list below. Matheny and company have again earned dominating qualifier titles for the upcoming GJNC later this summer as they went unbeaten at both Sunshine and MEQ while finishing 2nd at Windy City that included a tough 15-13 3rd set loss in the gold medal match.

There was big debate about Northern taking over the top spot given the steady rise of her skills, athletcism, and impact making a big statement this season. She is a physical prospect with great length. Northern still has massive upside to her game as she undoubtedly is attracting top college programs to take a look at what she can do for one of Ohio’s top 16U teams. She makes a big impact in multiple areas offensively around the setter while establishing a big presence at the net defensively. As a primary middle for her team, get a look at her swinging on the right pin where her

Snowbarger has been near the top of the rankings since they were created largely in part to her two-season dominance in the high school space where she has a career average of over five kills per set for Wooster while also earning Divsion I 1st team all-Ohio honors as a sophomore. At 6’1, she has great length as a primary pin attacker with a fundamental step-close to the ball that helps maintain momentum and balance to contact. With big reach and pace she is a tough stop for any defense as the ball gets on the defense in a hurry.

Also on the pin for this Mintonette team is Hoying, who has been more impressive this club season with her point scoring volume and success through the few times viewed. The all-Ohio 3rd team honoree helps create a very lethal corps of pin attackers for this squad as they lose nothing in terms of attacking confidence and point scoring capability through any rotation. Overall, she looks more fluid with bigger lift through her approach pattern. Combine that with her 6’0 length and great arm control and you’ll see her terminate often through a variety of attack points as a primary pin.

Schoonover is a juggernaut of a middle factor with her athletcism and fluid footwork through all attack options. This team runs a quick offense and is in-system often with their solid first-touch work of which Schoonover benefits from around the setter. She gets off the floor fast with big lift that creates advantages when combining her work with the speed of the set delivery. She is fun to watch as she is engaged well, has great court awareness, and understands point flow to get herself available with good space and on time.
