Cali Club Teams to Watch Vol 7

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are going into the end of the club season and we have seen a lot of volleyball already.&nbsp; Teams are putting together solid runs at their respective qualifiers and we have been watching.&nbsp; Here are some teams and players who definitely are turning heads due to their play.&nbsp; This series will highlight some players who we have seen in person and that we are adding to our list to watch this season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>A4 Volley 16 Cassie</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This team impressed me recently while I watched them compete at Salt Lake City Showdown National Qualifier.&nbsp; One of the most impressive players was libero [player_tooltip player_id='531168' first='Elizabeth' last='Jung'].&nbsp; She was all over the place making spectacular play after spectacular play.&nbsp; Defensively she was masterful with her platform and footwork.&nbsp; Middle Haley Langdon was huge at the net both offensively and defensively.&nbsp; I loved how she used her strong frame to battle at the net.&nbsp; She has the defensive presence that opposing coaches must game plan around if they want to score.&nbsp; Offensively, I loved how she cut the ball around the block with power.&nbsp; Left side attacker [player_tooltip player_id='494341' first='Ashton' last='Nelson'] has tons of length in her frame and uses it very well as a six-rotation baller.&nbsp; She is one of their “go-to” hitters and while I was watching it was apparent why that is.&nbsp; Fellow outside Anne Gilmore also played six rotations and was stellar with her overall ball control to help her squad stay competitive.&nbsp; Right side Jordyn Wilson jumps extremely well and was able to use her natural athleticism in order to be a factor at the net.&nbsp; She is definitely fun to watch when she jumps and deserves some looks by college coaches.&nbsp; Setter [player_tooltip player_id='502227' first='Marli' last='Whiting'] did a fantastic job moving the ball around to keep the defense guessing where the ball would go.&nbsp; This team has had a very solid season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Tstreet 17 Predney</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This team has a few players who we have seen for the past few years and they are still proving to be extremely effective on the court.&nbsp; Super stud left side attacker [player_tooltip player_id='391078' first='Memphis' last='Burnett'] is a show-stopping scorer who can fill up a stat book in a hurry in many categories.&nbsp; She has tons of potential to be a solid contributor in college in a few years.&nbsp; Middle [player_tooltip player_id='507755' first='Kaliya' last='Ndiaye'] has a very big presence at the net and for a very good reason.&nbsp; She can get up off of the ground in a hurry and absolutely pounds the ball with authority.&nbsp; I am not sure that there is a taller libero than Macey Smith.&nbsp; She uses that long frame to cover a lot of ground in a hurry.&nbsp; When I watched them compete in Salt Lake, Miss Smith was phenomenal out of serve receive and defense.&nbsp; I loved how active her footwork was while tracking down passes and covering her hitters.&nbsp; Pin [player_tooltip player_id='367805' first='Mikaela' last='Brennan'] was putting in some serious work on the right side when I watched them for one match.&nbsp; She is fully capable of playing on both pins at a very high level.&nbsp; I love the use of her arms during her up swing in order to get up higher with her vertical.&nbsp; She uses her whole body to drive into the ground and rebound off of it to fly in the air.&nbsp; She is one of the many pins who packs a serious punch on the attack.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp; If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at <a href="mailto:Michael@prepdig.com">Michael@prepdig.com</a>.&nbsp; If you would like to shoot me a DM on X or Instagram, just search for @CoachMikeDZ.&nbsp; Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.&nbsp; Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.&nbsp; Thanks for following us, Prep Dig Family!&nbsp; Don't be afraid to interact with us.&nbsp; We love the likes, shares, and quotes/comments.&nbsp; Keep them coming!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
