This squad from the Cleveland area finished a very competitive GJNC weekend with a big three-set victory in their crossover match to advance to the final eight. Their 5th place finish in the 18 American division meant the Ohio Valley Region was represented by two squads that earned a top-five result. Here are some of their top seniors that get ready to take their game to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='169112' first='Cecily' last='Waynar']
With nearly 900 career kills over four varsity seasons at Steele, Waynar was a huge factor in her final effort as she earned a career best 329 kills for a 3.7 k/s average. A 6'0 middle, Waynar was very effective with a career .340 attack percentage while also earning a career average of 3.8 blocks per contest. She has an arm that can contribute from anywhere on the floor and it will be fun to see how she develops at the next level for Bowling Green State.

[player_tooltip player_id='194683' first='Stephanie' last='Smith']
The 5'9 Smith was effective as a primary attacker as she earned consecutive varsity seasons over 300 total kills, including a career high 351 and a 4.3 k/s average in 2023. At 5'9, she can make big contact in the air as she developments momentum that gets her off the floor well and can help her generate good pace behind the ball. Through over 2,200 attempts in her varsity career, she was effective with a .363 efficiency in her senior season and a career average of 3.4 k/s. She is poised to make an impact for the University of Findlay at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='261343' first='Lily' last='Tomasheski']
Tomasheski earned several accolades for Midview. The 6'1 middle had a monster senior campaign at nearly five kills per set and a career high of 409 total kills for a single season. She saw a lot of opportunities and proved her value with her ability to score in a variety of ways. One of the most noticeable features is the arm speed she can develop when on time in the air. A terrific multi-sport athlete, she excelled in other activities and has committed to Cleveland State for track and field.

[player_tooltip player_id='357084' first='Emily' last='Piehler']
At 139 kills in her senior season for Medina, Piehler closed out her varsity career with her best production for a single season. Her ability to be able to swing and score at both pins increases her opportunity to make contributions with her arm. The 5'10 Piehler is headed to Marietta College.

[player_tooltip player_id='342330' first='Grace' last='Busold']
The Grand Valley State commit had a career best output offensively for Avon this past high school season as she totaled 260 kills for the 25-2 Eagles. She made the club switch to CVC this season and it paid dividends for the team as she brought with her athleticism and an aggressive arm. At 5'10 she has good footwork in her approach pattern and develops good torque in the air that allows for range and power.

[player_tooltip player_id='200633' first='Grace' last='Chambers']
As a senior for Magnificat, Chambers shared the setting role earning a team best 350 total assists. The 5'6 S/DS had a career best effort as the offensive distributor that factored into CVC's effort this club season. She has good movement around the court and creates a consistent high hand position to contact the ball. Her ability to go all directions utilized this team's collection of arms well.
